SNL Alum Horatio Sanz Drops 100 Lbs

SNL alum Horatio Sanz has dropped about 100 lbs. New York Magazine saw him on the red carpet of the 8th Annual 24 Hour Plays on Broadway last week and asked him about his drastic change in appearance.

"I've been eating better," he admitted. "I've been trying to come up with a joke about how I've lost weight and I was going to say, 'I stopped putting nuts in my sundaes.'" Apparently, he's lost about 100 pounds. Roughly. "I never weighed myself when I was at my fattest, because I was scared I might die," he said. He's been working out, too.

Wow, he is really good looking. He looks like a completely different person. I always loved him on SNL. He was the master at in-the-moment comedy. I especially loved it when he would lose it and struggle to contain his own laughter while sticking with his skits. Kudos to him.

It's great that he lost the weight. I hope it was the extra fat that made him so lame. Maybe when he is leaner he will actually be funny. Now that would be a big story!

I'm concerned that in the process of losing about a third of his weight he lost about a third of his funny, seeing as how a significant part of his shtick (and a fine shtick it is) was being the roly-poly guy...but it's more important he have his health, of course.

It's WELL worth it. It's really not funny at all to the be sloppy, fat guy, and it gets old quick. Better to hone those acting skills by being the lean, nice-looking guy--you have far more to work with as far as variety of roles and ability to play them. Good luck with the new you!

Well, you ARE being negative.
People who have lost that much weight need support...not negativity.
I lost about 40 lbs starting 4 years ago and have managed to keep most of it off...I've gained 10 lbs here and there, but I nip it in the bud before it gets too out of hand.
