David Letterman's "Top 10 List" tonight was Sarah Palin's top ten excuses. The list refers to the unfortunate interview that Palin gave right after she pardoned a turkey for Thanksgiving. As Palin answered questions, a worker right behind her was slaughtering turkeys in a turkey grinder. Palin seemed oblivious to the gruesome events as she continued talking for three minutes. I do agree with another poster who said that someone in the GOP will be taking her under their wing and will be molding her and controlling more of her public appearances,etc. However, Sarah has stated that she doesn't like to be controlled and told what to do. It really upset her that the McCain camp was trying to control her and keep her on message. So, she may not like someone (even in the GOP) trying to control her now.

We have all seen the disaster that happens when Sarah is allowed to just be Sarah. In the few weeks post election, she has done even more damage to her reputation. She certainly didn't prove that it was McCain's mismanagement that made her a joke.

Note to mentors of Sarah Palin. Observe the trail of politcal carnage behind her. She has destroyed anyone who sought to help her, the Wasilla Mayor, the previous REPUBLICAN governor of Alaska, pretty much anyone.

Poor Sarah. Someone tell this woman that you don't get a second chance to make a first impression. She will NEVER be able to run for President - the video of her follies are just too numerous. Good point, but what I meant was that she probably figures the more she is seen in the media doing presidential stuff like pardoning turkeys, by 2012 it's a wrap for her. That's all she thinks she has to do; is pardon turkeys, cut ribbons, shake hands, stuff like that.

I watched the video and tried to listen to what she had to say. But when she spoke none of it made any sense. She just keeps speaking and nothing ever comes out. It shouldn't surprise me but it does that some GOP people still want her to run in 2012.

David is in show business. Sarah choose a to be a politician to supposedly serve the public. It's just stupid to compare the two. Is that all you've got?

But wait, when Sarah accepts the 7 million book deal, she will be really rich too. The Palin's were already worth almost 2 million, so I guess with an extra 7 million tacked on , she won't be your average middle-class hockey mom, will she?

The really cool thing is that, under Alaska law, SP can't do book deals or any other money-making schemes while in public office. So, in order to collect, she has to quit politics. As lazy and greedy as SP has proven herself to be there's a good chance she'll walk and take the $$$. Of course, since the rules don't seem to apply to her (in her mind) she may still try to do both.

As far as a book deal goes, it better happen pretty soon. The right-wingers are notoriously fickle in their adulations so the market for her fantasy novel could dry up with the next flavor of the month.

you're going to rail against the dollar value of the woman's scarf, which she paid for out of her own pocket?

first, chances are better than not that letterman made that up about the price of the scarf. that's his job, to poke fun - whatever it takes.

second, the scarf she is wearing has nothing to do with her abilities to serve the public. the whole "$2000 scarf" comment was just letterman going back to the idiotic MSM issue made out of the RNC buying her clothing she never asked for and didn't keep.

furthermore - you go on to mock her because "when Sarah accepts the 7 million book deal, she will be really rich too" - doesn't that fly in the face of what you would have to say about our current president-elect, who has written two books, yet ran all around the country touting what he was going to do for the 'middle-class'??

Sarah Pee, no longer attended by makeup artists, etc., looks tacky and overblown as she blithely dismisses the turkey s l aughter that is in view just behind her. Why should she bother about a few turkey's meeting their maker when she is accustomed to the cries of wolves and other animals she has offed in the wild. I hope this disgraceful, exceeding dumb woman will soon exit our national landscape and never be heard from again. Wishful thinking, I'm sure but do let's hope...and even pray a little.
