Fidelity Investments : Charles Goldman

NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- Fidelity Investments on Tuesday named Charles Goldman, most recently of Schwab Institutional, president of its Institutional Platforms business.

The business includes: Fidelity Family Office Services; National Financial, the institutional trade-clearing arm; and Fidelity Institutional Wealth Services, which safeguards client assets for registered investment advisors.

Goldman, 47, will also have management responsibility for HybridOne, a program that help firms and financial advisors manage their commission- and fee-based businesses, as well as a new international clearing initiative.

"This is a newly created position, which bolsters our commitment to this space," said Michael Clark, president of Fidelity Institutional Products Group.

Goldman will join Fidelity in early 2009 and report to Clark.
