Hard to believe this much time has passed already since the 2008 presidential election. But here we are only 37 months away from the Iowa caucuses.

And only 32 months 'til the Ames Straw Poll.

And here goes Louisiana Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal speaking at a fundraiser for the Iowa Family Policy Center (you remember them) at that familiar Sheraton Hotel in West Des Moines.

Bobby needs to stay governor of Louisiana, just as he was elected by the people and finish his term. He claims this is the job he wants and plans to run for governor again. We shall see. As a resident of Baton Rouge i will definitely be watching his moves closely. We need help here from him as he is the elected governor and not having him run around the country raising money for the Rethugs and giving last years family values speeches. This concerns me very much. He did run on the platform that he'd reform government in this state and has made a bit of headway though not enough to warrant running around the country campaigning. Yes, he is seen as the Wonder Boy, yes he is intelligent but the rub seems to be he doesn't finish any job he's held so far. Witness how he didn't finish his term as Congressional Representative before he ran for governor. He is a Catholic and is from Baton Rouge for those that think otherwise and graduated from Baton Rouge High Magnet school right down the street from me. There was a movement to erect a sign at the entrance to the subdivision that he grew up in but that was thankfully shot down quickly.

Jindal's a real peach. I read an interview he did with Rush Limbaugh right after the Virginia Tech massacre in which he said the incident really brought home to him the need to protect gun owner's rights. That's compassionate conservatism for you. Nice guy, huh?

Arranged marriages.

Dowries.

Polytheism.

He'll go over well in the red states.

Oh my god, we just finished the 2008 Election, can't Jindal wait till 2011 to start campaigning. Besides shouldn't he be in Louisiana being the governor, there needs to be a law or rule saying no campaigning till the year before an election, or wait till 2012 to start.

During the last election cycle, I received a lot of e-mail from R epublican C hristian right wing relatives saying that O bama was a M uslim and was born in K enya. None of this is true, however I wonder if these same people would vote for a man who may have been born in India and is Hindu. From the footage I have seen from P alin rallies, I kind of doubt it.

If you want a creationist president than Jindal is your guy. I believe in everyones right to practice their own religion, but he wants to spend tax payer dollars on this garbage.
