I Like ItI Don’t Like It

On Tuesday, John McCain held his first press conference since the election. Asked if he would ever run for president again, the Arizona Senator seemed to find the idea so funny that he could barely get a word out. Finally, he managed to say, "I do not envision a scenario that would entail that." He does, however, intend to run for Senate again. Watch:

McCain also praised his running mate Sarah Palin, calling her "a breath of fresh air that swept the country."

"We worked hard and inspired a lot of people," he said. "We look back with pride on the campaign we ran."

"I think Governor Palin's future is very bright," McCain added. "I think she did a great job of energizing our base. I'm very proud of her."

During the campaign, Mr. McCain kept on saying how he knew how to fix the economy and how to catch Bin Laden. When is he planning to tell us?

Good, good, good, because we do not envision that scenario...ever again either JMc. If Arizona was smart they'd retire you too.

I thought it was raining. Turned out to be tears of laughter from all of America thinking of McCain running again.

It would have been funnier at, say, a turkey farm!

Let's hope the people he inspired have a chance to cool off and think clearly. Or failing that, that they are securely locked away before they hurt someone.

Compared to Mccain, I suppose that is true. But compared to Obama, she is a "blast of fetid air"

you gotta love that laugh as it was so heart felt and memorable of his campaign as he was a stranger to me before the election and he is now someone I admire and truly believe he still has much to contribute to America in a way he never envisioned. Why I know this who knows but its something I just know.

His overwrought praise of Janet Napolitano is amusing. It mostly comes across as giddiness that his only real competition for his Senate seat will be neutralized.

well that breath of fresh air helped him lose the election, yesssssirrrreeeeee bub!
she is a joke...a very large joke and here's to hoping that the humiliation is way, way
too much for her ego to bear. i have to wonder if she ever watched her interviews and
then actually could be proud of them?

she is still pathetic.

I still think he had little or no say in picking Palin as his running mate; I think that decision was made over his head and out of his hands. I wouldn't have voted for him (or for the Rethugs, regardless of the candidate this time) anyway, but her presence on the ticket sealed my vote as Dem (once again, regardless of who the candidate might have been).

I just feel lucky to have had a CHOICE this time, for the first time in decades.
