Update, 11/25 8:30PM

The Anchorage Daily News is reporting that Palin will meet President-elect Obama early next week when she travels to Philadelphia after stumping for Chambliss in Georgia:

The governor is planning a trip to Georgia to campaign on behalf of Georgia Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss early next week on her way to Philadelphia to meet with her old foe, President-elect Barack Obama.

Obama is meeting with governors of both parties in Philadelphia to talk about the ailing economy. It's not clear how many governors are going to attend the Obama event, which the National Governors Association helped put together.

"I don't know if she has a one-on-one with (Obama)," said Palin spokesman Bill McAllister. "It may be, given that they were both involved in the national campaign." McAllister said Palin will be in Philadelphia on Monday and Tuesday, and the state will pay for it. He said the Chambliss campaign will pay for Palin's side trip to Georgia.

TPM reports that Sarah Palin is going back on the trail on behalf of GOP Sen. Saxby Chambliss, who is in a runoff election against Democrat Jim Martin:

Palin will be holding four rallies across the state, in a race that will make the difference in the Dems' efforts to get 60 seats this year, along with the Minnesota recount. This runoff election is all about jazzing up the base -- and whatever her faults, few if any Republicans did as good a job of that this year as Palin.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has more information on the event:

Palin, who drew large crowds while running for vice president with Republican presidential candidate U.S. Sen. John McCain, will appear at Chambliss rallies in Augusta, Savannah, Perry and Atlanta on Monday, the day before the Dec. 2 senate runoff between Chambliss and Democrat Jim Martin.

The Atlanta rally has been tentatively scheduled for 4 p.m., but the location had not be determined Tuesday morning.

"I was thrilled when I got the call that Governor Palin would be able to make the trip to Georgia to campaign with me the day before the runoff election," Chambliss said in a press release.

The McCain-Palin ticket carried Georgia by about 200,000 votes.

Meanwhile, another Republican election figure (but one less popular with the conservative base) is campaigning for Chambliss in Georgia today -- former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Aren't we more than a bit tired of Sarah Palin and her Wasilla hillbilly stuff. Actually that's an insult to the good people of Wasilla.

Sarah, please go away and leave right thinking people alone. We do not need or want to hear or see you. Ever!! Enough is enough.

Barack must be busier than to have time for whatever you have to say. Write a letter.

You made no sense on the platform and now worse, so don't waste the president elect's time when there is serious business at hand to which you are incapable of making a contribution.

Sarah, spend your time more useful and read the newspaper so in 2012 when asked the question again you will better prepared.

She’s the dumbest person on earth. Empty barrels make the most noise. I wish someone would hand her a Troopergate confession to autograph at her campaign in Georgia.

She really wants to meet him, this man who has terroist friends? Why would she want that association?

Headline: Palin to meet with Obama.

Reality: Will meet with Obama the same way I did in October. Myself and 13,000 of my contemporaries at an Obama rally. Actually, I think he liked our crowd better than he'll like Sarah's.

Don't go home Sarah...please be around for at lease 12 more years!

Good point.

As Queen of the world, Palin matches GWB who thought he was king of the world.

Of course the entire Bush family thinks they are American royalty, if not world wide royalty. They are a perfect example of small and inconsequential minds aspiring to things which are well beyond their reach. As in the Peter Principle.

They may be the last vestiges of the British royalty that is now all but extinct in America. This mindset is largely the doing of Barbara Bush, whose self image is so distorted that royalty is her last and only refuge from final and total obscurity. Especially given George H.W. Bush's long affair with his mistress, Jennifer Fitzgerald. Barbara Bush, a woman scorned...! Also, the hand that rocks the cradle.

I don't think this family is done, thrashing and trashing America. Evil will rear it's ugly head again, Jeb Bush will be back. You can bet on it.

Okay, the caption had me scared for a second. Obama is gracious but not that gracious. What Palin did during the campaign to stir racial tensions and to mock Obama's background and try to say he assasinate his character by implying he was a terrorist is unforgiveable. However, after reading the article, I see it is a meeting of all governors and not just Ms. no brain. Obama is good and gracious but it would take God himself to forgive Palin for her actions during the campaign.

Forgive her? Heck, he'll probably fall all over himself thanking her for her contribution to the train wreck that was McSame/Failin'.

I hope Obama tell Palin that her career was over on November 4, 2008, for President. Please go home Palin and join the moose and turkey hunt club.

This was a misleading title - no evidence that Palin will have any special access to President-Elect Obama. After the news that she decided to introduce the "palling around with terrorists" theme on her own without approval from the McCain campaign, I hope President-Elect Obama doesn't give her the time of day. After the turkey slaughtering debachle, I was hoping this woman would be laughed off the public stage. She is a big fish in her little pond in Alaska, and she has done well there, but she is WAY out of her league on the national stage. Surely the republicans can do better than Sarah Palin. Americans are ready for some brains and competence in government, not an empty, telegenic candidate like Sarah Palin (W II).

10 seconds spent with Palin is 9.9 seconds too long.

So apparently that 'Governor of Alaska position' is just a part time gig for her. It seems Sarah gets to jet around the country as she sees fit on state/federal tax dollars.
Nice. Here is one area where we can stop wasteful spending (fuel, money, etc) right now by sending this poor excuse for a governor back to her state to do her job.
