Counterterrorism Blog reports that Al Qaeda isn't pleased with the media reaction to its anti-Obama missive:

Global reactions to Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri's controversial condemnation of U.S. President-Elect Barack Obama as a "House Slave" (or, alternatively, "House Negro") have begun to pour in -- including via the top jihad web forums used by Al-Qaida to disseminate its propaganda. Though hardcore Al-Qaida supporters have predictably dismissed any criticism of Dr. al-Zawahiri and are fiercely backing his choice of words, there is a rather ironic (if not entirely unfamiliar) twist to this issue. After observing international press reporting on the incident, these same supporters are now bitterly attacking the media for its "unfair" pro-Obama bias and for deliberately "confusing" the meaning of al-Zawahiri's message.

Experts in the U.S. have interpreted the tape as showing fear among jihadists that President Obama will dilute their message and make it harder from them to recruit. "By returning to American values the world admires, Obama sets al Qaeda back enormously in the battle of ideas, the ideological struggle which determines whether al Qaeda will continue to have significant support in the Islamic world," said Richard Clarke.

LOL, who gives a rat's "A" what Al Qaeda condemns as unfair???

They've got a lot of nerve to complain about anything, considering the carnage they've inflicted over the years....

That is so funny. Al Qaeda is currently in a weakened and confused state because of Obama's win.
Obama's win is causing them to have to defend themselves to the very people they are trying to win over, peaceful muslims. Obama's promise to take the war to afghanistan and to speak peacefully with our adversaries is pissing of Al Qaeda. President Obama could start a propaganda war in the middle east to weaken them even more

Can we get the GOP and these guys in a room together, it seems they'd get along fine.

My thoughts exactly. Maybe the GOP wrote Al-Zarahiri's rant.

How do you know Al Qaeda has lost the war? They're using the GOP talking points...

I really wouldn't want to be in Al Zawahiri's shoes right now. His job was so much easier when Bush was president, he could just say: "People, Americans have invaded and robbed our country and killed thousands of innocent civilians!! JIHAAAD!!!!" And everybody would proudly join him and die for his cause.

Now the best he can come up with is: "Look at those Americans! The press loves their president! They write only good things about him, damn liberal media! Oohh, he's such a celebrity, like Britney Spears! And he also drinks latte and eats arugula! JIHAAAD!!!" And everybody goes LOL.

What's surprising, though, is that they've lost the war already - two months before the inauguration...

This just in: FOX News to replace Alan Colmes with Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri.

That wouldn't work. Colmes was supposed to be the voice of opposition to Hannity.

yea that would not work you would have 2 warmongers arguing why to keep the war going forever, and why those peace loving liberals are no fun.

This could make for a good ad for Jim Martin in the Georgia Senate run-off race? McCain and Palin can be the stars of the ad and Zawahiri in the supporting role. Show a scene of McCain criticizing the media, then fade out to Palin criticizing the media, and then Zawahiri criticizing the media. After Zawahiri makes his statement have the narrator come in and say, John McCain and Sarah Palin are the leaders of the Republican Party, and Zawahiri one of the #2 guys (we've had how many #2 guys killed or captured?) for Al Qa'ida using the same line of assaults on President-Elect Obama. How can we ever trust the Republican Party when they align themselves with the #1 global terrorist organization? Vote Jim Martin, US Senate.

Al Quaeda is complaining that Obama is getting too much positive press: To it's detriment? I must be missing something... Are these people suggesting that they need a more favorable (maybe I should ask, a more positive) press?

Maybe they need to hire a PR company to represent their side in the media?

Al-Qaeda's supporters "are now bitterly attacking the media for ... deliberately 'confusing' the meaning of al-Zawahiri's message."

Yeah, they make him sound like a bigoted, cave-dwelling, serial killer! I'm SO confused!!

Tell me this is a joke.
AlQaeda? Complaining about "media bias"? Like they're a legitimate player who gets to criticize and lament?
I can't stop laughing!

The still can't figure how to deal with this new development in America. It just goes to show that brute force is not the solution especially when the question can be better answered by showing the true face of American democracy and peaceful values.

It seems Al Qaeda is getting their talking points and opinions from the talking heads over at FoxNews. Am sure they'll be buying Ann Coulter's new book which supposedly exposes this same "unfair" pro-Obama media bias.

O'Riley and Hannity must feel so proud at having their talking points seen so far and low.
