In preparation for Thursday's 75th annual Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Chicago Transit Authority will make temporary changes to some of its bus routes.
More than a dozen routes will be affected during the parade, which begins at 8:30 a.m. and proceeds north on State Street from Congress Parkway to Randolph Street, the CTA said.
State will be closed between Washington and Madison Streets from 8 tonight until the end of the parade Thursday. During these times, nine buses will be rerouted: the No. 4 Cottage Grove, No. 6 Jackson Park Express, No. 29 State, No. 36 Broadway, No. 62 Archer, No. 66 Chicago, No. 146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express, No. 147 Outer Drive Express and No. 151 Sheridan.
