Nephew Investigated In Death Of Kanye's Mom

A year after Kanye_West's mother, Donda, 58, died while recovering from plastic surgery, PEOPLE has learned that California authorities have launched a probe into the possible role of Donda West's nephew, Stephan Scoggins, 46.

A registered nurse, Scoggins was supervising West's post-surgery care with West's assistant and a friend when, according to a source familiar with the situation, he left the house to attend a baby shower the day after West underwent breast augmentation and liposuction last Nov. 10. West died that evening at a Los Angeles hospital.

This is so sad & it is evident that it's taking a toll on Kanye. I saw him on an awards show last week ans he was just rambling, not really making sense.

I believe something is wrong with Kanye mentally. I didn't realize it until my sister made specific references to his behavior.

Yes there is. I see many people like him. The common thread is they all act inappropriately to situations or if given an audience. The other common thread is chances are high they never had a father to quell their hysterics and show them how to have emotional restraint. Not to say a mother can't, but a father or father figure can get a child there faster. It's emotionality as self-aggrandizement. Better known as being a "Drama Queen". He acts like a child when he can't have his way. Narcissistic compulsive disorder? I dunno, but I do know a sensible person wouldn't have acted like the universe cared about his car wreck and steel plated chin. A sensible dude might have also taken a break from music, public events and calmed down at provocative situations like the papparazi beatdown knowing he's going thru some things at the moment. A sensible man wouldn't petulantly whine at losing an award. And he would also know that grieving a lost GF (mother figure?) in this way is completely undignified.

The problem is vanity...that one will go under a knife just to look a certain way. Unless its medically necessary but otherwise minor, and I mean minor. These people have many procedures done at once wanting to do quick fixes which often results in disfigurements or death. No one wants to workout or eat right anymore its just go under the knife and it will fix everything everytime. If she chose not to go to a post care facility then the risk was on her and yes she died because of it. She was an adult who made that decision.

A Registered Nurse is a Registered Nurse. Why wouldn't a trained and skilled family member care for his aunt?

RNs in hospitals are not segregated according to sex. I find it very believable.

It's Kanye West's mother and falls under entertainmnet just where it should be. Don't read it if you have no interest in it. With so many people volunteering for cosmetic surgery, we need to know what happened to Kanye's mother to avoid future problems.

I don't understand this story. Why wasn't 911 called first then an attempt to contact her nephew? Ms. West chose to go home instead of a medical facility. Sometimes the choices we make end up harming us. She endured 5 1/2 hrs of surgery! She must've had a lot of things nipped, tucked and sucked to be in surgery that long.

The sad thing is that Kanye probably paid for all of it. So in sad, sad way he paid for his moms death. Can you imagine living with yourself after something like that. Knowing that you are in a small way partly responsible.

Your logic makes no sense. Yes, he probably paid for it but it was utimately his mother's choice. He could've bought her a house that burned down too. Would that have been his fault? Please. You need to find another analogy.
