In Michael Wolff's forthcoming biography of Rupert Murdoch, "The Man Who Owns The News," the author writes that the media mogul has seemed to turn away lately from his cable news network, and isn't fond its top-rated personality, Bill O'Reilly.

"It is not just Murdoch (and everybody else at News Corp.'s highest levels) who absolutely despises Bill O'Reilly, the bullying, mean-spirited, and hugely successful evening commentator," Wolff wrote, "but [Fox News chief executive] Roger Ailes himself who loathes him. Success, however, has cemented everyone to each other."
"The embarrassment can no longer be missed," Wolff wrote, in another section of the book. "He mumbles even more than usual when called on to justify it. He barely pretends to hide the way he feels about Bill O'Reilly. And while it is not that he would give Fox up--because the money is the money; success trumps all--in the larger sense of who he is, he seems to want to hedge his bets."

Despises him yet is all too willing to milk that loathsome cash cow for all he's worth. We call that morally bankrupt, Rupert.

Just when I thought that Murdoch had not one redeeming synapse in his brain, he disproved me with his dislike of Bill-O. However, he still is writing O'Reilly a check each week.

Sean Hannity is worse than O'Reilly. Murdoch may be slightly embarrassed by Fox News but he will continue to milk it for every last cent.

Bill is the face of Fox News, so what this article says is the money is more important to them than credibility, dignity, respect and honor. How much money do they really need to continue selling their soul. The formula Bill uses to keep his audience will always work because there will always be people who can't think for themselves and have to live by other's opinions. Because of this, it is noticed that other cable news outlets haven't exactly gone out looking for a knockoff version of Bill. Hopefully no other news outlet is willing to stoop so low for ratings.

So is that why he pays him and others like him millions of dollars a year?
He isn't even a US citizen.
His wife is old enough to be his grandchild.

I believe, escobar, that Murdoch is a US citizen. I might be wrong.

He became a citizen so he could own radio and television stations.
Then paid off the republicicans to change the rules so he could own more.
Thats why we need the fairness doctrine.

O'Reilly's views are in lock-step with those who have been raped by Catholic priests.

Hey all you Neocons and Repugs- keep watching Fox and Bill. Keep embarking on your crazy hate filled journeys into the parallel universe otherwise known as "the No Spin Zone". The rest of us will just get more shovels, drink more coffee and dig faster. We can't wait to finish burying the repub likan party.
