Anderson Cooper (In A Swimsuit) Races Michael Phelps (VIDEO)

On this Sunday's 60 Minutes, Anderson Cooper has an interview with Olympic hero Michael Phelps.

During the interview, Cooper challenged Phelps to a race, with a few conditions to try and even out the playing field.

Phelps had to swim underwater, with no breathing, and could only use his legs. Cooper also got to dive in while Phelps could only push off the wall.

Plus, Phelps has not really been training since the games and is, for him, sort of out of shape.

So who won?

I don't know why, but I've always wanted to see Anderson Cooper shirtless. Now that I have, the mystery is gone. Disappointing. I'm still obsessed with Anderson Cooper though and I'm not sure why, given that I'm a lesbian and all. I think he's a great journalist and a funny guy, I guess!

I have a lot of respect for Anderson Cooper. When I was in highschool he was on a news show that we showed in homeroom called Channel One news that was aimed towards kids (and maybe only shown in schools.) As a reporter on the show Anderson was in Iraq during Desert Storm and I remember video of him huddled in the corner of his hotel room as bombs went off all night. When he came back his hair had turned grey and he became a "real" news anchor. Just though that was a cool story.

Phelps has a freakishly long torso and arms. Perfect for swimming though, I guess.

I have to add that he looks like he's made of rubber. That is, his body just kind of wiggles or vibrates in a continuous, fluid wavy motion...like rubber. Notice how he shakes his sholders while jumping into the pool, the swimming (of course), and finally even shaking his raised finger at the end. This is just how fish move...wavy, continuous motions.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for him and he seems like a good guy, but he is somewhat of a genetic monster. I think maybe he's 1/4 fish...but how, exactly, did that come to be? Hmmm. :)

Did anyone else notice that Anderson's hair was PERFECT upon surfacing? Just an awesome haircut? Methinks maybe his little pompadour was *stiff* for other reasons...

Anderson is pretty impressive as a swimmer, even though he had an easier challenge, he still managed to do well against Phelps and he's a fast swimmer for a 41 year old guy.
