No political couple's marriage has suffered quite so much scrutiny as the Clintons', and with Hillary's Secretary of State nomination considered a "done deal," the couple's time in the spotlight is far from over. Take a look at their body language, below, past and present. As Obama gives Hillary another chance, let us know if you think the Clintons are doing the same with their marriage. Has the vetting process--and the concessions Bill has had to make--brought them closer? You be the judge.

Those pictures look so phoney because you know he was lovey dovey with her one minute and running after other women behind her back. Gross! Poor Hillary putting up with that all those years.

Bill loves Hillary very much and the President knows how badly he hurt her. He would do anything to help Hillary be a success. By the way, their marriage is none of our buisness, is going well.

You ask anybody who has had a long marraige and they all will tell you its alot of work. For them to have lasted al long as they have is a testament to the love they have for each other. Far be it for any of us to judge them on it.

Say what you want about the up and down marriage of Bill and Hill, I've always believed they were good mates and that they truly love each other.

uh no, i won't be the judge on that. it's none of my business how their marriage is doing, but i'm hoping it's going well, what with being under the microscope like none of us.

the only thing i feel when looking at them kissing is *ugh*, i am glad that's not me bill clinton has his paws and lips on. i find the man thoroughly repulsive.

I hope the Clintons have a good and happy marriage but they are not people who should be in a high profile or leadership role. There are certain qualifications that a good leader must have. They are most importantly a clear sense and deep respect for the concept of right and wrong. This is where the Clintons fall woefully short. They are at best "moral relativists" which defines right and wrong on an ever shifting scale of value based on utilitarianism. Moral relativism is the "great lie" that promises an unjudgemental attitude of tollerance but instead leads to moral chaos and broken lives. I suspect that Clinton grew up in an amoral environment and he was not able to rise above it to become "better" than the adults who raised him. His considerable gifts of charm and talk have been used to better his own position rather than to become a "better" man. He became his father but with the ability to talk his way out of or into anything...even the presidency. Most people will never see the real man underneath the veneer of charm and intelligence.

I find it interesting how people like yourself view things so black and white. You have never obviously been a leader or an executive. Morality and leadership ? Before you spew your comments, what are your credentials, accomplishments and bearing to judge anyone. How do you qualify and what have you accomplished.

You call that PDA? I call it courtesy.

Look, Bill was a great president but a total dog to Hillary. In my opinion, the only reason she didn't dump him was because she had political ambitions. Do ya'll really think she would be where she is now had she divorced him?

Yeah. Sure. Whatever.

A very interesting and complex couple, the Clintons. I always believed that she made him.

I was very impressed with how Hillary handled herself during the eight years she was under constant investigation by the special prosecutors, and then how she handled the final Lewinsky insult. She could have taken many roads, but she took the high road and went on to become a good senator and public servant. I didn't support her support of the war in Iraq and I think she made some tactical blunders during the primaries (although in hindsight, given Obama's obvious superiority in all aspects, the outcome was probably a foregone conclusion) but HRC remains a remarkable woman, wife and mother. We should all be so situated.

It's been rocky but somehow their marriage works. I think Hillary is very good at putting the past behind her and moving forward. She demonstrated that in the Lewinsky affair and she demonstrated it with her defeat by Obama. Both times, she recovered and went on to something better for herself....the NY Senate and now Secretary of State. She's the real rock in this marriage. I think she respects and admires his intellect and influence. He's lucky to still have her.

So true. Even Chelsea told her dad that she thought her mother would be a better President than he was! But Hillary says that Bill is the most interesting person she's ever known, that she and Bill started a conversation when they first met and they've never finished it. They just keeping talking. Truly a difficult but apparently an enduring relationship. It would be nice if the pundits and press would quit exploring every perceived and real flaw in their marriage. Whose marriage could withstand that kind of scrutiny?

It always kills me when people say 'she would not be a Senator without her husband". I am always given the impression, President Bill Clinton would not have been anything without Hillary.

No doubt about that. They really are quite a fascinating couple.

I'm inclined to agree with you.

She is the more impressive of the two.

As the junior Senator from my state, she's proven she can play with the big dogs.

I agree. I think she put her career on hold for Bill to become president. She was the driving force behind him. Behind every great man stands a great woman. And with all the GOP crap thrown at her, Ken Starr and 70 million in investigations later. She has been in a fish bowl for 20 years. I think she's remarkable.

I have always believed the exact same thing.
She is the brains of the operation, and she chose him for his charisma.

Hillary is my role model.

why wouldn't your mother be your role model?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:07 AM on 11/30/2008

be nice now. Mr O chose Hillary as SOS so we need to respect that.

Seriously? You want to question someones role model?

Not everybody's mother is a role model. Some people don't have a mother. I lost mine at an early age, first to mental illness and then suicide. I wish I had had a female role like Hillary to look up to when I was growing up.

What do you know about this person or her mother? A really inappropriate and ugly question.
