I Like ItI Don’t Like It

1. I opt for something humorous. This year, my husband is getting red long johns and rock 'em sock 'em robots.

2. Something that the both of you can enjoy doing together - concert tickets, cooking class, a Burton Snowboard. For example, this year Burton is offering their 'Go Snowboarding' deal that sets you up with a free lesson if you purchase one of their boards. My boyfriend and I are going to take lessons together.

3. A couples' spa day.

4. He wants to save up money for an iPhone - I'd make or buy him a nifty piggy bank and add some money as a starter donation for the cause.

5. An agreement that we will skip Christmas gifting to each other and spare ourselves the sweat and strain of looking for the perfect gift.

6. Lots of small presents hidden around the house, with clues.

7. A fabulous dinner (cooked by you) with an excellent bottle of wine (if appropriate). Then whatever comes after.....

8. Charitable donations in her name.

9. A Christmas cuddle and a box of peanut brittle.

10. A bicycle, a ride in a hot air balloon, a creative class (such as pottery, painting, etc.), a weekend away.

11. A ticket to the Inauguration.

I found a unique web site that sell beautiful Hand-painted Jewelry. Beautiful & different. The site is SeascapesByLisa.com I just ordered a ton of stuff for Christmas. She also custom sizes everything. Her jewelry is gemstones which she hand-paints. Never seen anything like it! My daughter in college Loveeees this jewelry. Check it out....Highly recommend!

11. A ticket to the Inauguration. Comedy GOLD, oh wait you were serious?!?!

I wrote my Rep and two senators in March and I was put on a list, but guess what, no tickets even though I must have been close to the top of the waiting list. Guess I'm not a big money donor. I feel that it would be a wonderful news piece to have a list of who got the tickets from each rep/senator in order to see how many went to constituents and how many went to friends/donors.

Umm, I guess the author never got the memo that inauguration ticket sales are a hoax...

Write your local congressman https://writerep.house.gov/writerep/welcome.shtml and request tickets.

They are and always will be, free.
