Kristol's Next War: Send The US Marines After Somali Pirates

In addition to being a booster of the two actual wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, Bill Kristol and/or his publication has, at one time or another, also called for the United States to go to war with North Korea, Syria, Iran, and Sudan. And now he's got another war he's like to start:

And while [Bush is] at it, perhaps he could tell various admirals to stop moaning about how difficult it would be to deal with the pirates off the coast of Somalia (isn't keeping the shipping lanes open a core mission of the Navy?) and order the Navy to clobber them. If need be, the Marines would no doubt be glad to recapitulate their origins and join in by going ashore in Africa to destroy the pirates' safe havens.

I'd like to know what coursework at an American Military Academy or relevant wartime experience leads BK to suggest this alternative over other military and coalition options. Somewhat arrogant and presumptuous for an inexperienced civilian to suggest a cavalier and ill-conceived military solution that would endanger hundreds/thousands of our military personnel. Perhaps of BK would be so good as to volunteer to lead the charge up this latter day San Juan Hill, perhaps I'll give him a listen. But, I suspect this guy would more likely jump real high at the sound of a loud fa*t than anything else and the sound of live fire would have him soiling himself.

I applaud his idea and strongly suggest that entire constituency that supports his continual war mongering to fulfill his quest.

I vote for putting Bill Kristol on a skiff and giving him a gun. Then drop him off in the Arabian gulf to go chase those pirates. If they catch him his stu pidity will end up ki lling the pirates.
