Gov. Sarah Palin is putting her conservative Republican fame to work in Georgia, stumping for Republican U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss, who is in a tough runoff for re-election.

I wonder if she knows the true measure of the man she is eagerly helping.

...

Gov. Palin's eldest joined the Army and has been deployed to Iraq. As a justifiably proud military mom, she might ask herself why she is using her conservative star power to support such a reprehensible Republican chicken hawk.

I don't believe Palin even cared if Chambliss was a serial k.i.l.l.e.r. She just wanted to strike one against Obama, that's all. She is a spiteful woman and will never be presidential as long as she lives.

Just wanted to share a very funny article that was mentioned last night: "Quotable: Sarah Palin's Top 10 Bloopers" ( http://politicalnewsconnection.com/ ). I think you'll get a great laugh from it.

Those were a hoot Nancy. :-) It's something to read them in a stream. She's a comedy sketch.

Except, doesn't it give you chills? How close she came to the White House? That's she's still plotting to get there?

How could you not know what she and Todd were up to in Wasilla? Is everyone in Alaska that dumb and uncaring that this woman was allowed to Rule over her kingdom and whoever did not appease the queen and do her bidding, well, off with their heads? Man, what were you people doing two years ago? Geesh, get rid of that woman, quick fast and in a hurry.

Finally! Matt Zencey shed his Palinbot hat! It's about time you took her to the f'ing woodshed.

Perhaps we should apply the Bush Doctrine to Palin and others that support a rascist coward like Saxby Chambliss:

"We will pursue politicians that provide aid or safe haven to rascist cowards. Every politician, in every state, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the rascist cowards. From this day forward, any politician that continues to campaign for or support rascist cowards will be regarded by the United States as a hostile rascist coward."

As long as she's got a microphone, lights, and a camera in her face...she'll never leave. We've allowed the media to create a monster, but I suppose- as an Alaskan- I should thank the media. Without them, I don't think we'd have known the true depths of ignorance we allowed into our state's head seat.

I agree, and how Palin is not a representative of the people of Alaska. This is how she gets her kicks, using old men. Secondly, Chambliss, too is neither a representative of GA, that is why he is having a difficulty time trying to convince the Georgians. If Chambliss wins, it is simply because they will do what they did in the primaries, throw away ballots.

The media created Palin? How about the Republican party? She's the final incarnation of their phony populism that celebrates stupidity and whacked-out Christian fundamentalism as a sign of being a true red-blooded American.

If I lived in Alaska I'd be asking (1) who is paying for Palin's trips on behalf of the Republican party (2) if being governor is such a demanding job and qualifies one to be President how is it she can take so much time off of work -- I would think with falling oil prices she'd have her work cut out for her since that's Alasak's main form of income -- and good luck to Paling getting all those earmarks Alaska - has received in the past -don't think a Democractic Congress is going to feel too beholdin' after all of Palin's mavericky talk. . .

Is it true Alaskan legislators are considering charging the governor with dereliction of duty?

Sarah may be able to rev up the fundie base of the republican party, but she is an embarassment to moderate republicans. If they want to promote her and run her, then I say, "go for it".

"I wonder if she knows the true measure of the man she is eagerly helping." Does anyone really wonder what the answer to this question is? Of course she doesn't know. Duh.

Sarah Palin getting slammed? There's a shocker...

Yeah - like that radio guy impersonating Sarkozy told her: "I was very impressed with the documentary you made. "Nailin' Palin". It was very edgy". To which Sarah replied "why thank you sir". Her ambition overrides her sense of honor.

Sarah Palin, has no honor, morality, she is typical republican hypocrite, will do and say anything as long as it furthers her personal political ambitions, but the beauty of this is people are seeing this in full view of national media, and as the republicans become cannabalistic blaming the extreme right for their defeat/debacle in 2008 presidential elctions, further losses of senate/congressional seats, which is where Sarah Palin fits into that segment which thinks it can win elections by hatemongering, racist rhetoric, bigotry, when in reality they are the proverbial nail in the coffin of the republican party, and the elite, rich, intelligent ones in the republican party realize this, that is why they publically idenitifed radio hate icons such as Ingraham, Oreilly, Hannity, Limbaugh the more famous and the lessor ones such as Neal Boortz, Michael Savage, Jon Justice, to name only a few, since the list is long on the purveyors of hate radio, whom have enjoyed a monoply on FM/AM radio for many years now are coming to a end, with legislation for the 'fairness doctrine" making them give up 1/2 of the publics owned airwaves, the right wing hate radio harps on "welfare, socialism" but they have been the biggest recipients of "FM/AM radio welfare" by their getting unfettered use of "our public airwaves" which they seem to think they own, but merely get to use! The day of hate radio monoply is coming to a close!

Not surprising. One right wing fanatical phony supporting another. Palin would do well to remember she's up for reelection in 2010. If the Alaskan voters are smart they'll give her a 2 year vacation before her presidential run in 2012

Does anyone think that Sarah Palin cares what Chambliss stands for? She's got political advisors telling her to go out and make friends who can help her nomination in 2012 and to keep her face before the public. The fact that Saxby oinks rather than speaks makes not difference. The fact that he is morally and ethically challenged doesn't mean a fig. The fact that her son is serving in Iraq and this guy dissed a celebrated vet as a coward wouldn't make a difference to this woman. She sees permanent fame ahead, and she's not going to miss the opportunity to grasp it. That's more important than moral issues, family or anything else.

I agree with you totally.
It's those advisers that worry me because I bet they're listening & learning so they can coach her.

She said she would consider 2012 if God showed her the door - well, God showed her the door in 2008 but I bet that won't stop her. She has a moral arrogance which is frightening.

What Palin FAILS to understand is that God showed her the door but that door swings both ways. She doesn't get that and no matter how much she feels she can just plow through it, crack or no crack, I'd say the 'Big Guy' has the last word no matter how much demands.

Not to change the subject but, in my mind, John McCain had one last shot at restoring his once (somewhat) honorable reputation by staying as far away from Saxby Chambliss as he can get. Instead, right off the heels of the losing side of his dishonorable Presidental campaign, and right after Obama graciously reaches out to the guy, he decides to campaign for Chambliss...this after calling Chambliss' '02 campaign against Max Cleland "reprehensible". By campaigning for Chambliss, Senator McCain is saying, in effect, that the disreputable campaign the the chickenhawk, Chambliss, ran in '02 and his return to gutter campaign techniques during this campaign are ok. McCain is as low as you can go. If this is a measure of how he plans to carve out his legacy by reaching across the aisle in an attempt to "get things done" in a bi-partisan fashion, in his twilight, I think we can expect McCain to be nothing more than a, somewhat, more articulate version of Jesse Helms.

McCain was correct about Saxby in 2002. And you are correct about McCain now.

I suggest you read in the Rolling Stone Magazine (you can access it on line) the article on McCain: "Make Believe Maverick". His rep does preceed him, yet, he continued to B.S. about all that for years.

The Thanksgiving weekend here in suburban Atlanta had been rainy, with temperatures on the cold side. I awoke this morning on the eve of our Senate runoff election hoping for an all-day downpour with freezing temperatures. Why? Such weather would match the feelings I have regarding this curious-excuse-for-a-Governor appearing in our state today on behalf of the pathetic-excuse-for-a-US-Senator Chambliss. And ,of course, bad weather would also serve the pragmatic purpose of discouraging turnout (one would think).

Alas, the sky is only overcast , the temperature is mild and the sun is promising to shine later today. No threat of bad weather beyond the gloom of knowing that Palin will be within 25-miles of where I live. Argh!! I'll be holding my nose until she returns to the frozen tundra of Alaska (or at least leaves Georgia).

I guess there's a chance, and probably a fact, that most Georgians don't and won't give a dried peach about anything the Governor of Alaska has to say. That would be blessing enough.

Many of us are holding our noses 'til Seldom-Seen Sarah goes back to mothering her brood. I guess we'd better get used to mouth breathing.
