Hagel, Lieberman Praise Obama's National Security Team

USA Today:

Nebraska Sen. Chuck Hagel, a moderate Republican who is retiring this year and had been mentioned as a possibility for some national security posts, congratulated Obama on naming "a serious, experienced and widely respected group of leaders. They are all seasoned professionals."

Also offering high praise: Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, the onetime Democrat and 2000 vice presidential nominee who is now independent and broke ranks this year to support Republican John McCain. Obama intervened to allow him to remain as chairman of the Senate homeland security committee next year.

Hagel has more credibility than Lieberman ever will. Hagel served in Nam while Holy Joe begged for deferrments...just like war monger Cheney. Isn't it interesting that someone who actually served knows the real cost of war while the chickenhawks that didn't think it's some big holier than thou party. Ugh.
