Obama Fox News Shut Out Continues

Patrick Gavin at FishbowlDC has been documenting who Barack Obama has called on for questions at his transition press conferences, and notes that the President-elect continues to sideline reporters from Fox News. Fox has gone 0 for 5 "since the election." Of course, news of who got the privilege of asking a question today sort of puts this in hilarious perspective:

Wow. So Dean Reynolds, the "whiny-whinerpuss" diva who famously complained about how bad the Obama plane smelled and how rotten he was getting treated on the trail by the Obama campaign, gets to ask a question and Fox doesn't? HA HA BURN.

Even after Obama's meeting with Murdoch in Sept. 08 FOX News continued its unprofessional reporting tactics. In fact, Obama mentioned Hannity in uncomplimentary statements. Let's face it. News reports are only a soundbite of seconds in history. FOX News did not even try to filter the errors of their reporting. They twisted, lied, manipulated and contorted the news. Although all the broadcast news reporters put their "slant" on the stories, few outright lied -- omitted, yes -- but did not lie like FOX News did.

Good for President-elect Obama. Rags don't belong on television - they belong on the corner newstand. Television is the most powerful media in the world. We form our opinions by how news in reported. People were smarter than FOX News -- they choose not to listen, only laugh.

I noticed yesterday that when Palin's first rally in Georgia started, MS NBC covered it in full. Since I refuse to watch a channel that is covering her, I switched to CNN where they had just cut away from her after about 3 minutes. Then I read last night that FOX had not covered her at all. Is this their way of atonement? I am thinking that they have a loooong way to go. But it's a start. I hope Obama sticks to his guns, how they pretend to present news when they actually have an agenda and are attempting to influence elections is one of the more outrageous things about current society. No forgiveness any time soon!
