Obama Fox News Shut Out Continues

Patrick Gavin at FishbowlDC has been documenting who Barack Obama has called on for questions at his transition press conferences, and notes that the President-elect continues to sideline reporters from Fox News. Fox has gone 0 for 5 "since the election." Of course, news of who got the privilege of asking a question today sort of puts this in hilarious perspective:

Wow. So Dean Reynolds, the "whiny-whinerpuss" diva who famously complained about how bad the Obama plane smelled and how rotten he was getting treated on the trail by the Obama campaign, gets to ask a question and Fox doesn't? HA HA BURN.

Fox has already stated they have no legal compulsion to broadcast the truth. The courts backed them up. That means Fox isn't a legitimate news organization by their own definition. So why should they be treated as such? Continue to shun them. Works pretty good for the Amish.

Here's hoping he continues to recognize the difference between a news reporter and a right-wing talk show host. Fox was willing to go to court for their right to obfuscate, spin, and otherwise ignore the truth whenever expedient or convenient for their owners and/or their audience. Enjoy the show - but remember that's all it is.

On the other hand five out of six major networks refused to investigate any negative story regarding Obama. Their total news coverage consisted of, "Bad things were reported about Obama, the Obama campaign said they're not true." No doors were knocked on, no records dug up, no hard questions asked and no negative history was brought up. Of course there were plenty of investigative reporters, lawyers and researchers to send to Alaska after Palin was picked. Imagine that.
While you may not like Foxnews you should thank God we have that network. Without them our television networks would be as unbiased as Pravda during the Soviet Union's reign. One day you may want to hear a little dissent in your news instead of blind, fawning loyalty to "The One."
