Palin Hasn't Been To Alaska Office Since Election

In August when John McCain selected Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate, with the exception of Bill Kristol and Fred Barnes who still had pheromone up their nostrils from the lunch they had with Sarah in 2007 when the cruise ship on which they were riding stopped in at Juneau, no one else in the "lower 48" (as those of us in the subarctic call the US of A) had heard of the woman. Ninety days and counting later, Sarah Palin and her celebrity have become as ubiquitous a part of the popular culture as Paris Hilton and Madge Ciccone. ...

It's now been three weeks since the election. And Sarah has yet to set foot in Juneau. Next week she's off to Georgia. And from there up to Philly. By the time she gets back to Alaska the Holiday Season will be full upon her. So it's unlikely that Sarah will spend another night in the Governor's Mansion until the Legislature returns to Juneau in January.

Phenomenal article! This is a must read that needs to go viral. Palin's karma needs to arrive sooner than later. Can't wait for the holidays to be over and our legislature to be in session! I just hope they do their job and continue where Troopergate left off. Even if she doesn't get impeached, having her up on a trial would stain her record enough to keep her out of any future national race.

Maybe Alaskans will stand up and impeach her for not governing. I don't know how Alaskans can stand for it. John McCain's lawyers were running the state while she was in front of the bright lights running for President with John McCain. Who's running the state now?

the tragedy of ELECTED OFFICIALS GONE WRONG, and this includes Gov Palin, Sens Stevens, Chambliss and host of others in a very long list, is the damage it has done to the people they represent.. Were this SNL we could laugh.. however Alaska, a state of stunning beauty and rich resources and people, has become a national joke. Too bad..

The election was almost 4 weeks ago! She said she was going to go right back after the election and get caught up on stuff, but I guess all those offers for books, speaking engagements, campaigning for Chambliss etc are just so much more fun.

Relax Alaska, Sarah is getting a huge white turn-out in GA for Chambliss.

If she hasn't been seen at her real job since the election--and for how many months before the election??--it seems obvious that someone else is doing her job for her. Hence the people of Alaska don't need this woman at all--she's nothing but a media lightening rod that makes their state look like something out of the movie deliverance...only colder. Wonder how long it will take for people there to vote her out of office?
