Alaska Dispatch:

In August when John McCain selected Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate, with the exception of Bill Kristol and Fred Barnes who still had pheromone up their nostrils from the lunch they had with Sarah in 2007 when the cruise ship on which they were riding stopped in at Juneau, no one else in the "lower 48" (as those of us in the subarctic call the US of A) had heard of the woman. Ninety days and counting later, Sarah Palin and her celebrity have become as ubiquitous a part of the popular culture as Paris Hilton and Madge Ciccone. ...

It's now been three weeks since the election. And Sarah has yet to set foot in Juneau. Next week she's off to Georgia. And from there up to Philly. By the time she gets back to Alaska the Holiday Season will be full upon her. So it's unlikely that Sarah will spend another night in the Governor's Mansion until the Legislature returns to Juneau in January.

Hey Cinderella, put away your glass slippers and go back to your dreary governorship.

So is she charging the citizens of Alaska for her traveling expenses while on someone else's campaign trail or is she having the GOP fund her vacations and high living again?

Maybe this just proves that Alaska doesn't really need a Governor.

She wasn't in Juneau much to begin with. She stayed in Wasilla (charging per diem) most of the time. The state legislators used to wear buttons that said "Where's Sarah?".

Exactly. There's nothing new about her not being in Juneau. And I say, who cares? Let her govern from an igloo. As long as she goes away.

When the reporters and TV cameras fail to show up she will finally stay home. Since she stopped being news, that should be pretty soon now.

So. Don't vote for her again. Get rid of her. The rest of the country will owe you a debt of gratitude.

BINGO! She can then entertain us as a dim-witted host on The Home Shopping Network. She's got experience for that.

Glad you're going to keep paying her perdiem and not the rest of us, Alaska! Now figure out how to KEEP her up there!

IMPEACH PALIN

So impeach her for dereliction of duty. You got this started, Alaskans. You finish it.

Maybe the governor position in Alaska is strictly pubic relations??? Palin seems really good at being a hostess; she cooks, smiles stands straight and can mount a plane to anywhere at anytime and read a script well. While she was traveling with McCain, Alaska state ran itself. And just for the record, the only people she fires up are anarchists -- who would rather succeed from our union -- who have limited educations et al.

Uh oh...just as we feared. Palin realized that her ego is too big to be contained in Alaska. No media coverage...but apparently she's not getting much media coverage these days anyway (thankfully). Didn't she say that she was anxious to get back to work when she was in the Anchorage office shortly after she was sent packing by the McCain people?

Sarah, we all know your relationship with bridges to nowhere, but I suggest that you don't burn the bridges that you have already in Alaska. You can't keep living your life looking four years ahead all the time...for once, be happy with what you already have. We were happier before you began raiding Nieman Marcus from coast to coast here in the "lower 48".

BTW, I heard the sonic booms when the Shuttle landed here in So CA yesterday. Does that mean that I'm qualified to be an astronaut?

Seems like Alaska is doing just fine--maybe better--without her! It's not fair that they've dumped her on the rest of us, though.
