Palin Hasn't Been To Alaska Office Since Election

In August when John McCain selected Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate, with the exception of Bill Kristol and Fred Barnes who still had pheromone up their nostrils from the lunch they had with Sarah in 2007 when the cruise ship on which they were riding stopped in at Juneau, no one else in the "lower 48" (as those of us in the subarctic call the US of A) had heard of the woman. Ninety days and counting later, Sarah Palin and her celebrity have become as ubiquitous a part of the popular culture as Paris Hilton and Madge Ciccone. ...

It's now been three weeks since the election. And Sarah has yet to set foot in Juneau. Next week she's off to Georgia. And from there up to Philly. By the time she gets back to Alaska the Holiday Season will be full upon her. So it's unlikely that Sarah will spend another night in the Governor's Mansion until the Legislature returns to Juneau in January.

Anna Nicole Palin got a taste of the spotlight and can't give it up. Ten bucks says she starts manufacturing news to keep herself relevant or on TV for the next 2 years. Look at me!!! Look at me!!! Pay attention to me!!!!

That should tell the Alaskans something. The state keeps running without their govenor. Has it ever occured to them that she is not up to the job as govenor either and the ones doing the work have always been doing the work. That is why she can be away for months at a time. I do wonder how her young children are doing without her though. Kind of hard to replace a Mother.

Speaking as a taxpayer, a business manager, and an Alaskan, I am outraged. All silliness aside, if you've been hired to do a job, and you decide not to come to work, then let me show you the door. It's that simple. This cartoon, this waste of taxpayer dollars, needs to be sent back to cheerleader camp. We all- yes, all, America- deserve better from our elected leaders. Believe me, petitions for recall are in the works.

I understand your frustration. If I decide not to show up for work I get fired. Alaskans won't be nearly as happy when they aren't receiving $1200 checks in the mail. She reminds me of Montana's Ex Governor Judy Martz. Don't hear much about her do you....yet, after the Martz debacle we managed to Elect Gov. Brian Schweitzer....heard of him haven't you......he spoke at the Democratic convention. Montana is one of 5 states with a GROWING economy. Alaskans will learn like Montanans have....get the power hungry chick out and life gets better.

come on Alaska....you knew you were electing a beauty pageant contestant, someone who needed 5 or 6 colleges to get a bachelor's degree, and served as mayor of a tiny hamlet--essentially completely unqualified for the job of governor. Seems a little disingenuous to be miffed that she isn't doing her job.

Well, late realization is better than no realization. Its not too late to RECALL as this is only her second year. If this is not successful, then do not vote her in for a second term. Dear Alaskans, you all will do yourself a great favor.
