Rush Limbaugh Endorses Hillary Clinton: "Brilliant Stroke" For Secretary Of State

NEW YORK — Rush Limbaugh has seldom been a fan of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. But the conservative radio pundit has given his blessing to her selection as the next secretary of state.

He calls it "a brilliant stroke" by President-elect Barack Obama, who opposed Clinton for the Democratic nomination.

Limbaugh weighs in on the new administration as one of Barbara Walters' "10 Most Fascinating People of 2008," which airs Thursday on ABC.

Says Limbaugh: "You know the old phrase, 'You keep your friends close and your enemies closer?' How can she run for president in 2012? She'd have to run against the incumbent and be critical of him _ the one who made her secretary of state."

On Monday, Obama announced Clinton as his nominee for secretary of state.

Who cares what Limbaugh thinks? Nobody should be particularly mindful of anything the Limbaughs, the Roves, et al, say. You can't trust these folks; they have their own agendas. Just give them enough rope and let them hang themselves. Meanwhile, Pres elect is just keeping on keeping on, doing what he needs to do to try to get this country back on track, after it has been royally messed up (for want of a better word) during the past 8 years. Not everybody is going to agree w/ our Pres elect, and that is an honest reaction. But the point is that Pres elect Obama is trying to do everything in his power to right the wrongs. The republicans, as a party, rather than helping fix the mess they helped create, just can't get out of their rut of opposing and obstructing, along w/ corruption and greed. They can't get the big picture, because they really don't want to, and they don't care.

This is no compliment of Clinton, only of Obama's strategy. It's unlikely Hillary would run against Obama in 2012 anyway, unless he messes up big time.

Guys, quit being so naive please! Rush is praising Hillary just to accomplish his ill-fated "Project Chaos" that he was working on in the primaries. Rush wanted the Dems in Denver to riot at the Convention. Rush wanted Hillary's 18 million disenchanted voters to vote McCain/Palin in spite of the Obama win. Neither worked.

So what now? Rush is giving Hillary as SoS props in hopes that he may tear off the Obama vs. Clinton scab that has completely healed. Don't let him do that!
