Rush Limbaugh Endorses Hillary Clinton: "Brilliant Stroke" For Secretary Of State

NEW YORK — Rush Limbaugh has seldom been a fan of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. But the conservative radio pundit has given his blessing to her selection as the next secretary of state.

He calls it "a brilliant stroke" by President-elect Barack Obama, who opposed Clinton for the Democratic nomination.

Limbaugh weighs in on the new administration as one of Barbara Walters' "10 Most Fascinating People of 2008," which airs Thursday on ABC.

Says Limbaugh: "You know the old phrase, 'You keep your friends close and your enemies closer?' How can she run for president in 2012? She'd have to run against the incumbent and be critical of him _ the one who made her secretary of state."

On Monday, Obama announced Clinton as his nominee for secretary of state.

As an Ex Republican, let me tell you that the plan from the party is to work to turn the left against Obama. It's all a ploy, so don't get caught in their trap. Once the left is unhappy, they can destroy Obama from the inside out. Another game now is being played. Deep in my heart I know Obama is going to do a great job. The Clintons are moderates, centrists, just like President-elect Obama and Vice President-elect Biden. This is only news to people who haven't been paying attention.

I don't think being a conservaitve is the reason for being able to amass money as any Kennedy could tell you or Warren Buffett or George Soros or many other very wealthy democrats could attest. In fact President elect has amassed quite a bit already thanks to two book deals and I imagine his speaking engagements after he retires will bring in mega millions just like Bill's had done. He was not any richer when he left office than Obama is going it office. Will you ever get over your obvious dislike of the Clintons and check facts before making such statements. The post presidency period is a bookdoggle for most successful presidents...of course, with our present one, it will take laura's book deals to increase their worth, apparently. Nobody wants to read or listen to a failure . Our local chamber of conference had originally asked Cheney to speak at their annual dinner. The members got so upset that invitation was withdrawn and Doris Kerns Goodwin was the wonderful replacement in this bastion of Republicanism.

Lol--Dumbaugh can't conceive of a president aspiring to do a great job for America and put the strongest people he can in cabinet postitions. Dumbaugh has to reduce it to some kind of shrewd political move. The reasoning just shows you how petty and small-minded Dumbaugh is. Of course the comprehensive failure of his ideology in practice over the last 8 would already reflect that.
