A man from Vancouver who was staying at the Oberoi Hotel in Mumbai on a business trip narrowly missed being killed by the gunmen who wreaked havoc on the city for three days.
The man, Jonathan Ehrlich, said he had an early flight to catch the next morning and therefore turned down a friend's request to get a drink in the hotel lobby. After going to sleep, Ehrlich heard a knock on his door and then the doorbell rang, he said. Again, Ehrlich stayed in bed.
"I am the luckiest guy on earth," he said in this interview. "I am totally blessed."
