I Like ItI Don’t Like It

As Obama was leaving Philadelphia, kids from Friends Select, a Quaker school across the street from his hotel, gathered at the gates.

An agent stood near the kids, who after about 15 minutes of waiting started chanting "Obama! Obama!"

When he came out of the hotel Obama crossed the street wearing a big grin. He shook hands and chatted with the kids for about a minute, smiling the whole time.

The kids jumped up and down and cheered. He shook a few hands through the bars of the gate.

Watch:

Kids just LOVE Obama. My son's kindergarten class overwhelmingly voted for Obama in their mock general election.

That was nice. My 2 kids feel the exact same way about Obama as those kids. My 5 yr old said his school had a mock election and he voted for Obama. He said Obama lost, but at least he voted for him. :)
My husband had to explain to him that things happen like that in TX, but that he shouldn't worry because the rest of the country would make sure that Obama won the real election.

Don't worry, Texas will be blue soon! It's inevitable.

Now we Texans need to band together to kill this stupid open-carry thing. Just what I want - idiots openly packing heat while I'm eating my enchiladas.

That's just so beautiful...that he has such an impact on kids...shows he's the real deal and has a good heart...kids pick up on stuff like that.
This Canadian envies you...our last PM who impacted Canada like Obama does America, was the late, great Pierre Elliot Trudeau or PET as we affectionaly called him. He had so much of the same qualities as PE Obama, consitutional lawyer, charisma, intellct and more.

I remember the great days of Trudeau as Prime Minister up there. He was such an impressive man and an excellent politician although a bit unlucky in his marriage.

I am lucky enough to tell you that my father was in the Canadian media midway through Trudeau's long tenure. They became friends, and ultimately my father worked closely with him in Ottawa just prior to his resignation. I never had the chance to actually meet him, but my father was very clear when he said he's never met a man so intellectually intimidating, but honest to the point of being disarming.

My nieces who are 11 and 17 talk about him all the time. They actually pay attention to important issues now because of him! Bravo.

Amazing to watch kids who've never experienced having an actual President in their lifetime.
