It's the taboo subject you're not supposed to talk about - Barack Obama's safety in light of the rise of white supremacists in America. ANP investigates in Memphis, Tennessee, where our cameras infiltrate the Stormfront.org Euro Conference. We probe the minds of the Anti-Defamation League, the Racist Skinhead Project and David Duke to assess legitimate threats to the next U.S. presidency.

I would so appreciate it if you would please re-title this post: "White Supremacist Sickos" and leave the Obama Threat part out please! These crazies are a threat to ALL of the US so let them be known for that. I don't think it's wise to give them a particular goal do you?

I dont understand this hateful world view at all, and i suppose i never will...it makes me incredibly sad, but as much hate as these twisted individuals stir up-- i have to believe that the human good and kindness will prevail and Obama will have a much more positive impact on the world than these isolated groups will ever have. Just as Dr king said "All progress is precarious, and the solution of one problem brings us face to face with another problem."

"Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it."

Just send the people who make threats to prison and put them in general population where justice will be served.

Ever hear of the Aryan Nation? These folks would be right at home in most of America's prisons. They would just get free time to lift weights.

a lot of these people are the same people who were incited by the hate drivel from the McCain camp. Yes, they were around long before that, as was there hatred, but it seems to have caused a resurgence, with more people jumping on the band wagon. Irony here? these are the same people that "fear Obama.......because he might be a terrorist". these terrorists are no different than the terrorists hiding
out in caves and underground tunnels in the middle east....except they live out in the open.
as long as this ignorance exists, so will these extremists.

I remember reading an article where Michelle Obama asked her aide...
"Why do they want people to hate us." concerning the McCain/Palin campaign.

My heart went out to her. Palin and McCain never once considered her, her childrens or her husbands saftey. They want Palin to be the future of their party. So, the GOP brand is not going to change anytime soon.

When other countries engage in violent acts, genocide, and other expressions of hate-filled power, Americans sort of laugh at them because we think they're being idiots. Yet, we have endured four presidential assassinations (and assassinations of other high-profile individuals) because of similar stupidity. I love my country and think it's the greatest in the world; however, I cannot help but think "What if" when it comes to those assassinations - what if JFK/RFK/MLK had lived and gotten the chance to carry out their latest plans? Where would we be financially? Politically? Would we be in a comparable position with the economy? Would it be better? Or worse? Granted, crying over spilled milk solves nothing; I just wish the idiots in our country who wish such harm on Obama would stop to think about what our country may accomplish if they would give him a chance. (No, wait - I forgot...their synapses no longer fire, right? Oh well...round them up and ship 'em somewhere - how about an underground jail - out of sight, out of mind?)

They are afraid of the good things that are to come from an Obama presidency. They fear that their whole world view will be shown to be the lie that it is.

Perhaps Palin can weigh in now, since she's had ample time to think, on whether these groups are domestic terrorists or not.
How sad and frightening for our country.

This video is shameful.

It is also shameful that Democrats insist that Obama's seat be filled by a minority/african american.

People may possibly feel the race card has been played a little too much in the election and they are lashing out.

Either way it's not constructive on either side

Are you an adult?

There is no race card. People happen to come in different color and from different cultures.

Acknowledging that fact is not playing any card.

And by the way it may be just a bit simplistic to equate wanting minority representation in the senate with threatening to take some ones life.

Once again--false equivalence. Discussing who should occupy a single seat in the government is in no way the same4 as espousing an entire false world view based only on hate.

So are you suggesting that the racists are being racists because someone thinks the race card has been played a little too much in this election???

How is appointing an African American (i.e. Jesse Jackson Jr.) to Obama's Senate seat playing the race card?? Was it playing the race card when Obama was sitting there? Would it also be playing the race card if a white person is appointed to Hillary Clinton's Senate seat? Or is playing the race card only in the context of when the word "black" is used or when blacks are the topic of a given discussion. If I tell you that I am black, am I then playing the race card?

Was electing a BLACK man to the presidency therefore playing the race card as well!!!!

What is your definition of playing the race card? I'm very confused by your post!

Racists are lashing out because they fear anything that threatens to shatter their world view of their racial superiority and sense of entitlement, and a black President, who will sit in the highest office of our land as the leader of our nation and the free world, shatters their world view in a way that they cannot reconcile themselves with. They're lashing out because they're mentally unstable, not because someone allegedly played the race card a little too much!!!

It should be, there are no other black sen, and Jessy Jackson Jr shares Obama's vission for the future of this country. Obama and his people have stayed out of it though. I think Bobby Kennedy would be great for Hillary's seat.

let me show you people a sure case of racism. You get a group of 10 to 20 blackmen together and say their going to start a organization to stop white racist police officers and just all around racism in this country. So what happens, the FBI, the CIA, the ATF and the Justice department does everything they can to get rid of them, mind you now they haven't, burn any churches, burn crosses, terrorize anyone, drove around and kidnap any whites and torture them, haven't killed a soul, but their group is put down quick. Now we go to the KKK, the Neo-Nazi, Skinhead groups, white groups that have been around for decades, which are known for torturing people, killing people, bombing churches, burning crosses in front of peoples homes, riding around kidnapping innocent people and torturing them and using hate speech on a regular, and nothing happens to them, you know why: Because they have members such as the police and people of all law organization in their group and we live in a RACIST COUNTRY.

The Truth will still be standing, when all the lies have crumbled to dust and you billblow3, have told the truth and the crickets are OUT... all around... and silent.

America gets real quite when the truth is told and the answers for what to do are even more silent. Tuff Love is the answer, I love you enough to say this far and no further, but those of like minds and hate, the silent blue lines and silent sneaky Authoritarians and I' am talking about people across the spectrum, in positions of EFFECTIVE POWER, they smile in your face, drop their tithes on Sunday and swear they love Jesus and repeat the same hate your brother behavior, Monday thru Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

These people are our own terrorists, fostered by the hate that is fueled by the Republican party of the United States. We just elected Saxby Chambliss who said that every Muslim that enters the US should be shot. That IS the republican party except for a very few members.

"...the rise of white supremacists in America.." There is no rise. They are just making themselves known in light of the election. Certainly as a man of color the President-elect adds an element of risk to an already dangerous job. But, what is interesting to me is that many Presidents before him in the not too distant past have had credible threats and attempts made on their lives, but the media doesn't remind folks of that. Most folks probably don't even realize it.

All of our presidents' lives have been at risk, and attempts have been made against many of them, not always made known to us, and several have succeeded (i.e. JFK). Generally, those who have threatened the lives of our presidents are a single individual or perhaps even a group of individuals who feel aggrieved for any number of given reasons.

But none of our former presidents, not even JFK, have been threatened solely because of the color of their skin, and not by one or two people, but by whole communities of people, self-proclaimed racists who want to eliminate the President of the United States simply because he's black.

Unlike the one or possibly small group of individuals who may have threatened former presidents, these people represent a growing or surfacing consciousness in our nation that threatens all of us. There's a significant difference between the two scenarios, and trying to diminish that difference is very unproductive in that it's merely an attempt to evade the harsh reality of racism in our country.

The hatred born of ignorance and heredity will not die in America. They just keep passing it on. What kind of parent would one be to foster those kind of thoughts into your children? What kind parent would want their children to aspire to murder over race or religion or sexual orientation? There are times when I see great hope in America, like we saw on Nov. 4th, but then there is this and those who are driven to alter the will of the people through guns, violence and hate speech.

The sad part is, we dont' have to go to Iraq, Iran or Afghanistan to deal with the Taliban, Alqueada or the purveyors of violence and hate speech. It's homegrown and alive and well in America.
