Sen. Murkowski Warns Palin: Stay Away From My Seat

Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski has some Republican-to-Republican advice for Gov. Sarah Palin: If you want to make a run at the White House, keep your hands off my Senate seat.

Murkowski, up for reelection in 2010, is nervously awaiting word on whether John McCain's former running mate will run against her in the GOP primary. But she says Palin is the one who should be nervous.

"I can guarantee it would be a very tough election," Murkowski said in an interview.

That's a catfight I'd love to see, but I don't see Barbie running for the Senate unless she decides not to run for the Republican nomination for Sacrificial Lamb in 2012.

I'm hoping she runs for governor again, then runs for Sac Lamb in 2012. She would energize the base - of the Democratic Party.

This is a no brainer...

Sen. Lisa Murkowski should just consider that Gov. Palin a political adversary for that Senate seat (if it is as lucrative a post as indicated) and figure out her strategies now...

Maybe she should point out that Palin went down to Georgia wearin' the same outfits that were purchased for the Presidential campaign by the National Republican Committee. Palin was supposed to return all of that clothing after the campaign since it's illegal to use campaign donations as "personal gifts".

Palin has said that she returned all the clothing...and that the trip to help Chambliss in Georgia was a "personal trip" unrelated to her being Governor of Alaska.

So it would seem that Palin thinks she "owns" the thousand dollar ensembles.

Lemme see, wasn't the other Senator just convicted of illegally accepting personal gifts from political supporters?

Sarah will do what is right for Sarah, even if it means knocking off another GOP Senator. They didn't call her the "barracuda" for nothing when she was younger.

I am no fan of Lisa Murkowski, because I think her and her family's politics are dubious at best, but God help me, I would move to Alaska to vote to keep Lisa in her seat if it meant keeping Palin out. I have no tolerance for Palin's narrow minded, stubborn and ignorant views of all of the challenges facing us a nation. She represent the fanactical fringe of the Republican party, and we cannot afford any more of this ideology in office. Ever.

I believe a tough race with Murkowski would end Palin's ridiculous presidential aspirations. Intra-state battles can be much nastier than the national ones. There's more detailed information available -- especially in a sparsely populated state like Alaska. Murkowski probably already has interesting information about Palin that you and I have not yet even imagined.
