Southwest's LaGuardia Bid Passes, Flights From Midway Still Uncertain

Southwest Airlines won approval from a bankruptcy court Tuesday to buy ATA Airlines Inc.'s slots at LaGuardia International Airport in New York for $7.5 million, Bloomberg News reported.

The move eventually would allow Southwest to offer service into the heart of New York City, with seven daily round-trip flights, though the airline hasn't laid out a timetable.
