Uma Thurman's Parents Unknowingly Hire Spitzer's Hooker Booker

NY Post:

She went from booking call girls for Eliot Spitzer's favorite escort service to booking yogis upstate - for Uma Thurman's parents.

The actress' Buddhist folks last summer unknowingly hired Tanya Hollander - accused of arranging sex romps for the call-girl ring that serviced the former governor - to manage their upstate yoga center.

"We're extremely troubled to learn of her problems only now, and especially troubled that she withheld what's clearly pertinent information about her background," said Birgitte Thurman, Uma's mom.

"Clearly, had we been aware, we might have hired someone else," she told The Phoenicia Times.

The Thurmans are good people who do great things to help preserve the Tibetan culture and provide Buddhist education. It's an unfortunate situation that they hired someone who was not forthcoming about her past. I'm sure they will deal with it fairly. The headline tying Uma in some misleading way with prostitution is completely unfair. Is it worth it to smear a nice, completely innocent person to create an eye-grabbing headline?

the Thurmin's are playing the embarrassment and shocked card which is weird since they are Buddhists. Maybe they're not Orthodox Buddhists, just kind of brush the surface Buddhists.

BTW, a quick "Google" search of her name turned up 353,000 hits. I'm POSITIVE people like the Thurman's, who I'm sure have serious security concerns, if for no other reason than their famous daughter, checked her out and knew about her past. If they didn't, they are mo.rons.
I'm betting they knew and were hoping no one else put two and two together. That, and maybe they were hoping she could do more for them than just book guests into their yoga center.

"Uma's Hooker Ties" is not a classy headline for Huffpost's home page. It's supermarket gossip rag stuff, misleading, and not worthy of what I hope you guys aspire too. She has no "hooker ties," but maybe you guys do, metaphorically speaking of course.
