I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Campbell Brown dedicated her "Cutting Through the Bull" segment to Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell Tuesday night over a remark he made while he did not know his microphone was on.

Speaking about Obama's Homeland Security Secretary pick, Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano, Rendell said, "Janet's perfect for that job. Because for that job, you have to have no life. Janet has no family, perfect. She can devote, literally, 19-20 hours a day to it."

Brown — while never using the words "sexist" or "sexism" — (somewhat apologetically) chastised Rendell for the remark, which she suggested would never be made towards a man and unfairly focuses on work-family balance because Napolitano is a woman.

"I don't meant to rake you over the coals," she said to the always-candid Governor, "I know what you meant to say. But your comments do perpetuate stereotypes that pus us in boxes, both mothers and single women."

This report is a Shame, not that Cambell Brown is the new RW attack dog, but that Huffington Post did not find it important enough to add editorial commentary.

The clip is presented with nothing but facts, which leads me to beleive HuffPo has no position on Cambell and her statements.

Read the user comments here editors, YOUR readers HATE this women, and yet you hoist her onto us like she gets a full pass.

"NO ONE" should have "ANY" doubt that Campbell Brown's political proclivity is to the FAR RIGHT.

Although, she attempts to appear "neutral" her inuendo and approach are clearly favoring right wing issues and party members.

I'm sure her choice of marriage partner in Daniel Senor is no coincidence.

Rendell may have spoken out of turn, but with her it's a Blue vs. Red issue each time.

It won't take long for the left to realize this women is an enemy, the worst kind.

She is from the school of mind bending brain washing fake neutrality that CNN has engineered so well.

Its just too bad that Keith can't go after her (as Fox is less and less relevant).

CNN execs have claimed that CNN's "Centerness" (or in reality right wing and neutral) will win it over from Fox and MSNBC.

Personally I think CNN should just give up on politics as they have no shows that courageous enough to jump into the stories.

I was suprised Anderson covered the Wasila Turkey Masacre, not suprised when he acted dumb and said "Im not sure what is going on right there exactly, but it doesn't look fun" commentary ended and next story.

No... She's not the far right... She's just concerned with ratings and being up against Olbermann and O'Riley she's doing everything she can not to become "O-relevant" (dumb joke)... In other words she doesn't want to become the Katie Couric of primetime cable news...

I just wish she'd be a little more authentic about her stances and causes... it seems like she's trying to gin up something to sound courageous about.... We know and believe that every word uttered from the mouths of Olbermann and O'riley reflect who they are and their belief system (wether we agree or not)... In Campbell's case... not so much.

She's be well advised not to pick fights with liberals and democrats over petty things just for the sake of being able to claim some pseudo non-partisan title... Just speak the truth about those things that really, REALLY matter and people will tune in.

The nearer we got to the finish line in the election, the more transparent CB's shilling for McCain became. Since her horse came in last, she's been desperately trying to get a handle on some kind - any kind - of BIG STORY with an anti-dem slant to it. She's so obvious, so clumsy at it she makes my teeth hurt.

It is unfortunate how Mrs Brown has changed her brand of journalism the minute the election was over and she was given her own segment, to start creating non-stop small, but notorious, pieces of pseudo news lacking significance comparable with her former work

This appears to be an attempt to create a scandal. Is Campbell Brown unaware of important news topics (economy comes to mind), that something like this has to be fabricated. I had no prior knowledge of Governor Rendell's comments before reading this article. As I read his comments, I thought immediately, hey, that's like my situation; I often put in a lot of hours at work, as a result of reduced family demands. I never once thought that it had something to do with Governor Napolitano's gender.

An important debate about the future of the US auto industry is going on. It seems we should be more focused on that, instead of fabricating scandals like this.

Everybody is talking about the economy. Lots of people are still talking about the war.

But WHO is talking about Ed Rendell?
(Hint: CNN's own personal Dana Perrino)

Campbell Brown is making a name for herself.....a bad one. Is she looking to move over to Fox? If she keeps on selling this tabloid crap, she'll be finding her ratings heading south!!

Though the comment is potentially hurtful to Mrs. Napolitano,Its a shame Brown has to inflate it with an assumption as to what the Rendell would have said if someone else were the person he was talking about just to try to make a story out of it. Personally I've heard the same thing said about men in the workplace often. People, including men, with no family life are often tasked with time consuming work.

Brown is just trying to make a name for herself and apparently she's not too picky about how she does it.

Brown just feels guilty about leaving her own children at home to go make a name for herself. Some jobs are life styles, if the hours are long, it is good she has no children. What the man said was taken out of context by Brown. She needs to get a life and quit trying to get noticed by someone elses expense.
P.S. I stopped watching her months ago..she is to negative.
