Trading volume at the Chicago Board of Trade was 52.7 percent lower in November at 52,269,007 contracts, compared with 110,483,289 contracts traded in November 2007, the CBOT said in its monthly volume report.

The year-to-date volume through November was 921,939,389 contracts, compared with 963,363,821 contracts for the same period in 2007, a decrease of 4.3 percent.
