Jennifer Aniston On Pregnancy Rumors, The NYT And "Tabloid" Vogue

Jennifer Aniston continues her push for this month's "Marley & Me" and graces the next issue of Entertainment Weekly, excerpted on E!. Inside she disses her last magazine cover, that of Vogue.

The cover (seen below) pulled out a quote from Aniston regarding Angelina Jolie.

On her Vogue quote ("What Angelina did was very uncool") being taken out of context : "I was just surprised that Vogue would go so tabloid. I was bummed. But you almost expect it. Big deal. Done. Next."

On the rumors that she's carrying boyfriend John Mayer's baby: "Oh my God, it's hysterical . It's almost going to take away the fun from actually being able to say one day, 'I'm pregnant!'"

On motherhood being in her future: "I'm on the verge of it in some way--or it's something I long for."

On Her Split With Pitt: "'The Hollywood fairy tale romance'--that's what's put onto it. It's Luke and Laura. But if you strip away all of the glitz and the glamour and the headlines--the shock and awe of it--it's just people living their life. S--t happens, and it's as normal as any other human being if you take away the headlines. It's just not as interesting without the headlines."

On What She Perceived as a Hit Piece By the New York Times' Caryn James in 2006 [here]: "It was so venomous. It was like, who f---ing s--t in her Wheaties? How do these people get the opportunity to just spew s--t? They don't know anything. You know, career choices -- you just do what you do. Not everyone's a winner. Not every episode of Friends was great. Not every guy you choose is great. Just across the board, there's so much expectation."

I am so tired of people saying that Jennifer is not beautiful. She is one of the most beautiful actress out there. The Brangeloonies are scary! More power to you Jennifer! You are one of my favorite actress. I've loved your choice in films. I personally don't like Angelina's movies. Not, because of her pshyco ways, but because they always seem to be depressing or bordering on violence. I have never heard Brad say "He loves Angie", He didn't have a problem with Jennifer. He knows what he has done, and he is trapped. Brad and Angie deserve each other. Jennifer seems to have inner peace.

Jennifer looks great for her age. Angelina's looks seemed to be fading. Let's see how beautiful she looks at 40 after taking care of 6 kids. But then again with all those Nannies, who knows.

I could care less for either one of them. We are in the middle of an economic collapse, I really could care less that Jen thinks Angelina is "uncool"..­.good grief are they in middle school again, my 11 & 12 year old students say things like that.

Fresh Start? I think not. All I ever hear new from Anniston is complaining about the press or how she is interpreted. What has she done since "Friends" (which I always thought was lame)? Even her relationship with Mayer is held together with the threat of her complaining about his behaviour. Why do I not see longevity there? A fresh start would be to stop playing the victim. Do something VALID. She lost her husband to another woman. She isn't the first and she won't be the last. No one stole anyone from anybody. Pitt and Jolie are soulmates. Unfortunately, that simply wasn't the case with Pitt and Anniston.

According to the tabloids, she's made about 13 or 14 "fresh starts" over the past year or two. Every time the Jolie-Pitts turn out a new movie, or a new baby, Aniston makes a "fresh start". Funny how she always ends up going nowhere.

Jolie runs a very well paid PR compaign to make the public forget she stole someone else's husband, if she is so giving, give all the money away and live off Brad's money. The money they make and throw around is obscene.

Pitt made it clear years ago that he was ready for kids. Anniston kept putting him off for her career. Why should anyone be surprised that Brad would eventually walk away? Furthermore, how could he NOT be tempted by Jolie in that situation? Not only is she more attractive, a way more versatile actress, has done far more for other people with her celebrity than Jen, but most of all - she can't seem to have ENOUGH kids. It couldn't be a more perfect match for him.

I would agree they're overexposed as hell, but to suggest that Jen was giving Brad everything he wanted and that he cheated on her (if that's even been proven beyond speculation) just because he's a dog is a little naive.

How very strange all of this is. The media, in complicity with these stars, has created a Debbie Reynolds-Eddie Fisher-Liz Taylor storyline, and the public eats it up.

I like Jennifer -- she seems like someone who is very nice in person, and I enjoy her acting, unlike so many commenters here. I also think Angelina is an excellent dramatic actress. They are both pretty in entirely different ways.

What is Jennifer complaining about, she has not had a successful movie or TV career after "Friends",
she is basically a tabloid queen herself. It is her fault not Vogue or the NYT, if she did not want personal information revealed to the public, then she should not give out personal information to the media.

My Dec Vogue sat on the table for two weeks, still in the plastic shipping wrapper. Seeing Aniston's face seems to elicit a general malaise (to be fair, Vogue probably picked the mopiest of 300 frames in order to milk it). Is this look of dissatisfaction and ennui permanently tattoo'd upon her face? Before Brad/After Brad, it's the same look, yet this is no longer the neurotic 90s of Seinfeld and Friends. It's just old and depressing, and quite palpable. The kiss of death. There's a difference between mawkish sentiment and genuine emotion. She resonates sentiment and that is sticky and foul.

And to try to evoke sympathy, empathy, red meat, or a fan base b/c of a breakup (which could have been all because of this 'dissatisfied' aura, who are we to know or judge?) is even sadder. It's all about appearances in entertainm­ent/media, and that is what I am commenting on. I am not taking sides like some 5-yr-old or passive-aggressive.

Anniston is one of those actresses who plays the same character every time and plays it the exact same way. I have to say I thought her portrayal as the c r a z y, s l u t t y ex-roommate on "30 Rock" was pretty funny. Trouble was, I couldn't shake the feeling she was playing herself.

All the money that Angelina and Brad received from selling pics of their children went to charity organizati­ons...ALL the money. They are two of the most active people in charity organizations and children's organizations ever. They genuinely care about people less fortunate than themselves and put their money where their mouths are. Angelina was donating time and money before she met Brad and together they really make a difference. Their children are used to traveling and when they have such loving parents they couldn't possibly be hurt. I think they are a wonderful, loving couple who dearly care about their children and the children of the world...
