The National Journal reports on, of all things, more Palin "accessories" spending from the campaign:

The Republican National Committee is scheduled to file a campaign report with the Federal Election Commission Thursday disclosing that the committee spent additional funds to clothe and accessorize vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.[...]

While not providing much in details, Republican officials say that the RNC's post-election financial report will include information on other "accessories'' purchased for Palin before the Nov. 4 election.

"The amount to be reported is significantly less than $150,000,'' one RNC official told National Journal. "The accessories on the report are less than $30,000.''

The clothing, the official says, is in the committee's possession and "will be dispersed to national and local charities at the appropriate time.''

See a slideshow on the previous $150,000 the RNC spent on Palin's clothes.

Sarah Palin is the biggest embarrassment of all time. If in fact she represents the future of the Rethuglican Party, they are in big trouble.

Gov. Sarah Palin is calling for more state spending on children's health insurance, preschool and other programs,
"That means more working families will have health coverage. This isn't done lightly, a decision like this, and we know there will probably be some healthy debate stemming from some opposition in the Legislature over this," Palin said.

"Or maybe we have witnessed one of the biggest frauds in American political history and the biggest failures among the American media in a very, very long time."

Who cares about what clothes she wears? Her ideology is worn out and threadbare..

How much did Hillary spend on all those silk brocade jackets? I'm sure it took a whole lot more money to keep that old Rodham skin looking fresh and perky.

If Palin spent 150 Clinton spent 250.. who gives a flying fig through a rolling donut?

You just don't get it, do you? Hillary paid for her own clothes. The RNC bought Palin's clothes -- unethical and probably illegal.
It also doesn't do any good to trash the way Hillary looks. That's not the point either.

Why all the concern about S. Palin's clothes....

I'm sure she appreciates all the attention she is getting no matter what the topic is.

Look at all the money spent for a lot of nonsense by both sides in the election.
So, let her keep what she has....

It will give her a wardrobe to start with in the next election (2012) that so many people
are already predicting that she will be a candidate for.

Why the fuss? The sheer foolishness, gross insensitivity to the plight of so many Americans and tone deafness to the message of the moment - or even her own supposed message as "hockey mom usa". Michelle Obama "got it" and dressed in GAP, H & M, J Crew much of the time & made best dressed lists wearing $34-$148 dresses and low cost accessories. Palin still looks tacky no matter what. So I guess the clothes don't make the man, or woman. As Maureen Dowd put it, the campaign boobies *dressed Palin for a ball when she should have dressed for a bailout.*

Aren't you bothered even a little bit by the sexism? No male candidate -- and no other female candidate -- in history had to be gussied up like that. It's an admission that the RNC thinks her primary appeal is her looks and her shameless "celebrity."

I am putting in my vote to take Palin off the front page though. I am so bored by her grating voice braying out-of-the-loop party gobbledygook. Enough with this brainless broad. But I do want to know where to donate to her 2012 campaign! As she is such a major turn off to most Americans, any Palin candidacy would be terrific for Democrats -- think how many more Turkey-moments she's got in her!

Any discussion about Sarah Palin as far as I am concerned can't be serious. The sole consideration for such an endeavor has to be for entertaining the crowd, like a clown in a circus whose only purpose is to make people laugh.

Let's be brutally honest . If Palin would have 'whacked' her unborn down-syndrome baby, the left would LOVE her.

No, the left would feel some compassion for her if she were responsibly caring for her child according to recommended standards of care and therapy for Downs babies. All development is delayed, including muscular. Several hours of specialized activities and physical therapy a day from a trained therapist starting as soon after birth as possible ensures the best possible future for her child and yet Trig was simply hauled around as a neglected campaign prop being lugged about hillbilly-style by 12 year-old Willow -- his floppy body and inability to hold his own head at 6 months (something 2 months old can normally do) a testament to his mothers ignorance and lack of interest.

I find it absolutely unpardonable and insensinsitive that so much $$$ is spent for SP's wardrobe while millions of people losing their jobs. It is the fakest 'star-creationism' and populism and 'cult of personality' I've ever witnessed. Perhaps Stalin can compete with SP's 'cult of personality'.

Insensitive !! You're joking right ? The unemployment rate is 6.5% , not 65%. Jobs come and go all the time , they cycled' up for many years, now they're cycling down. We are in a downturn and one day sooner or later the job situation WILL improve, no matter what chicken little and Pelosi says. I agree the $ amount for Palin's wardrobe may have been a little steep, but don't forget Obama raised a staggering $600,000.000 i'm sure that campaign was guilty of a few excessive expenditures. If Obama's campaign was in the oil business there would be at least one 'tax and spender' calling for a 'windfall profit' tax.

6.5% is a rigged unaccurate and completely bogus figure. Anyone in the know knows it. The actual unemployment rate is at least twice that high and perhaps as much as three times that high. Many experts say that 20% is probably not too far off the mark.

The thing about Palin's clothing is that politicians are expected to pay for and provide their own clothing. The RNC has evidently found some loophole which may yet bite them very hard.

More grifter grist for the mill. No wonder why she wanted to campaign in GA -- more reason to keep her goodies.

Can't wait till she has to respond to real questions in a debate series. Should be fun watching her implode.

Wherever Michelle Obama went, she paid for them herself. The DNC didn't pay for them. I have no problem with Michelle O. or Sarah P. or anyone else having expensive clothes. But I would really be pissed if my donations to the campaign were used to buy clothes for anyone.

Also, I'm she uses her own money.

My point was that she wears some expensive clothes as well. How do you know the DNC hasn't bought her a few things?

John III, it's fairly well known now that Michelle shops at J Crew. I am sure not exclusively, but the point being, she shops at a moderately priced retail clothing store. I hazzrd to guess she HAD most of the clothes before the election. She is a classy lady afterall. I'd also guess that she didn't have to make a difficult switch from Carharts to cashmere.

Palin may not be a 'rocket scientist but Jindal is very bright and can deliver a very intellegent , coherent message without the aid of a teleprompter. The dems have BARRY, HARRY, BARNEY AND NANCY, why am I not gettin' a warm and tingley feeling shooting up my leg ???? Maybe I just need one more glass of kool-aid to get there.

Hmm... I could dress myself -- and all of Ketchikan, AK -- easily, for $30,000.

But then, I would never (want to) "galvanize the base" like Sarah can. In fact, she's a two-fer: She "galvanizes" the Progressive base too, through sheer terror at what kind of president she'd make!

Wouldn't it almost be worth committing suicide as a nation, just to see how bad it could get, and still get worse!

Or wouldn't it be worth losing all credibility as a nation, just to explore where exactly the bottom is, of the trash-barrel the GOP want to chuck the country into? Exactly how far down would they drag the country and the political dialog, before they were finally satisfied we couldn't sink any lower?

....just kidding, of course...
