The National Journal reports on, of all things, more Palin "accessories" spending from the campaign:

The Republican National Committee is scheduled to file a campaign report with the Federal Election Commission Thursday disclosing that the committee spent additional funds to clothe and accessorize vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.[...]

While not providing much in details, Republican officials say that the RNC's post-election financial report will include information on other "accessories'' purchased for Palin before the Nov. 4 election.

"The amount to be reported is significantly less than $150,000,'' one RNC official told National Journal. "The accessories on the report are less than $30,000.''

The clothing, the official says, is in the committee's possession and "will be dispersed to national and local charities at the appropriate time.''

See a slideshow on the previous $150,000 the RNC spent on Palin's clothes.

Wow, that is mean. Aren't we all in this together? The DNC has some misfits, too. Pelosi,
Reid, Frank, Dodd aren't exactly the salt of the earth.

This is hardly Palin's fault. Blame her RNC Rove-linked makeoverers.

No, it is not her fault but that that is no excuse. Given that she made cleaning up corruption her campaign slogan in Alaska, she should have had enough forsight to see the ramifications of taking high price designer cloths during a political campaign. I truely feel that after awhile she knew that Mccain did not have a chance at winning and decided to 'get all she could' out of the deal--after all, she said she had nothing to lose. She knew what she was doing but did not think it was a big deal--that says alot about her morals and how much she knows about national politics.

All this discussion about clothes and money spent is ridiculous. You all do yourselves an intellectual disservice to continue harping on it. I voted for Barak Obama even though I felt as though the media did him a terrible disservice by not allowing him to be properly vetted and by not doing their job to challenge him. I'm sure he had reasonable answers to many, if not all, of the hard questions critics raised, but the media didn't have enough confidence in him to let him answer them. The far left is as hate driven as the far right and the far left is deluded to believe that they are tolerant. While you're all busy gloating over how much Palin spent on her clothes (or the RNC did), do you ever discuss how much the Obama campaign spent on lighting in Germany for a speech that was given in daytime ($800,000). The purpose of the lighting was to help Obama look "good" - no different than buying clothes to help a female candidate look "good". The disparity in treatment s is largely the fault of the media who were "in the tank" for Obama and, in spite of their obvious bias (which I founnd incredibly offensive), I voted for Obama. The bloggers on both sides were more hateful than all of the politicians combined gleefully blogging lies about both Palin and Obama. That is why those of us that are Independents are disgusted with both parties.

So what is the appropriate time to disperse that the Obama team paid Acorn among others to fraud out the vote?
So what is the appropriate time to disperse Obama's sketchy past?
Does he have any family friends or is everyone he knows just a guy in the hood, or not the person he knew.
Obama voters know more about Palin's children than they know about Obama.

The election is over. We have a new president who is actually trying to rescue everyone in this country (including you), Maybe you can't stand action as opposed to the Bushies ignoring the obvious instead of acting on warnings. Stop ranting and support a change that will be better for all of us (even you, I hope).

The Acorn stuff is bull. As far as knowing about Palins children well, she used them as campaign props dragging that poor little Trig around like a sack of potatos--so what does that say about her as a mother? I think anything there is to know about President-elect Obama has been brought out so you keep digging for a sketchy past but I don't think you will find anything--you betcha!!!

Why don't they put this wardrobe on e-bay? Give the proceeds to a cause, perhaps an organization that supports military families?

Palin knows how to contact e-bay, she managed with that state plane, didn't she?

Has Bristol gotten married "first" remember this family claims Christian family values or maybe it's a case of, "Do as I say and not as I do".

Yes, I see how, Sarah Palin, is one of us hard working people with the added news of more accessories bring the grand total to $180K and then there's the late filed disclosure of those free trips at other peoples expense. Don't we all live off other people to the tune of 10's of thousands of dollars, hmmm? I wonder what she has to say about this oh, I know she'll deny it just like the ethics charges.

Don't you think all politicians live off other people "to the tune of 10's of thousands of dollars, hmmmmm?" Or were you under the impression that all politicians except Sarah Palin paid their campaign expenses out of their own pocket?

So what is the appropriate time to disperse Todd's silk boxers (that the RNC and other donors paid for), Piper's Louis Vuitton handbag and shearling coats, or the outfits and new jewelry we still see Palin wearing as she avoids setting foot in her capital to do the day job Alaskans elected her to do and have paid her for not-doing for the past three months?

Yes, I want to know why no one is making a big deal about the fact that she's still wearing some of the clothes that she wore during the campaign. I thought she was supposed to have given them all back.

Let's see - with $150,000
the house could get pay off and it would leave enough money to get a different truck ( a big buck deer hit ours) and plus money to pay some other bills! With all of that off our minds, we were be OK.

"The appropriate time" being when this all blows over, the public has forgotten about it. No donations will then ever need to be made.

Cynically, I suspect you are right. Palin does not seem to be eager to part with her borrowed new duds or her new gum-ball sized pearls and other accessories. It's been seven weeks since she was busted and Palin pledged to wear her own clothes from the Alaskan thrift store/consignment shop with the pilfered name. By the way, does anyone know what happened to the cease and desist order for 'Out of the Closet" in Anchorage to change their borrowed name?
