Zimbabwe is in a rapidly increasing downward spiral.

Every day the crisis deepens. Harare, the capital city, is basically without running water. There are no water purification chemicals for the system, so the water has been shut off.
Medical facilities, such as they are, have been overwhelmed. People have been turned away because there is no room or medicine. Water purification kits have been slow in distribution, adding to the geometric progression of the Cholera plague.

Cash is scarce. People are allowed only a pittance to withdraw from the banks per day. Some days it is only pennies.

Corruption is rampant and the infrastructure is collapsing. The instability makes for rising danger and the almost certain collapse of the state with all of its regional consequences. No one knows from day to day what the next crisis will be. Sadly, there seems to be no happy ending for the struggling people of this devastated country.
