NBC's Jimmy Fallon Making Online Debut Monday

Jimmy Fallon will make his online premiere as Late Night host Monday for NBC, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The web videos are being described as a "video blog," and will go live with new installments every weeknight at 12:30 a.m., to coincide with Fallon's upcoming duties as host of the Late Night franchise.

The hope is that fans will get used to seeing Fallon every night at 12:30, and can get a sense of what his take on late night will be. It will also give the show's producers a chance to tweak and test content in advance of its broadcast debut in March or April.

Give the guy a chance. Sure it might suck but he was really funny, for years, on SNL. I agree that his movies weren't great but his hosting of the MTV video music awards was excellent (probably the best opening ever for that show).

If the choice of a house band is any indication - this show will be superb. The Roots are amazing.

I'm looking forward to seeing what he's got.

I loved him on SNL, but the same old schtick grew weary after a while.

This is going to be a disaster.

I loved Jimmy Fallon on SNL(especially his bits with Horatio), but you cannot take someone like him who is the one used to being the center of attention and getting the laughs and make him a talk show host.

He's not used to listening, he's used to being the center of attention.

I honestly do not see him as an effective host.

I think it will be painful to watch.
It's not going to work.
