Not many people would be encouraged by a frigid day like Thursday, when temperatures hovered in the 20s.

But Dan Craig was at Wrigley Field, eyeing the skies and hoping more of the same is ahead.

Looking forward to Jan. 1, "a day like today would be absolutely letter perfect,'' said Craig.

The NHL's "ice man," Craig is responsible for converting the Friendly Confines into a hockey arena -- Rink-ly Field? -- by New Year's Day.
