Stephen Colbert "Humbles" Kanye West (VIDEO)

Stephen Colbert launched "Operation Humble Kanye" when Kanye West's album was beating his own "A Colbert Christmas" on the iTunes chart. (FIRST VIDEO)

On Tuesday's show Colbert provoked his own mini-feud with the rapper, with West twittering on Wednesday "Who the fuck is Stephen Colbert."

Colbert's plea for fans to mass buy his album Wednesday at 5 pm and take over the chart worked, and he gloated on Thursday's show. "We did it! We humbled him!!" He also did a victory dance.

I love Stephen Colbert!! Not only did he take Bush and Co. to task --publicly and right in front of them-- he also served up the media who failed to do their jobs. (Except for Seymour Hersh and Brian Ross)

It's all just in good fun people ! Please relax ! Colbert (and Stewart) have a lot more against O'Reilly, Fox News and Geraldo, but they never do anything that's actually mean spirited to them. The worst thing Colbert did to O'Reilly was to steal his microwave, and the two of them mocked Geraldo's mustache.
I'm certain that Kanye will appear of the Report soon enough. Maybe they'll even bust a rhyme together.
