even a bare bones understanding of statistics reveals how idiotic of a statement that really is

What a genius. Huckabee shows his true colors by:

1) Claiming that America needs (and will favor) more rigid 'moral' mandates from a politcal party that keeps losing elections.

2) Hoping that Jesus will help make all this happen.

Good luck Mikey!!

Let them be more conservative, that's the way they'll keep losing. Both parties keep thinking that if they go more partisan, that'll somehow fix all of the problems but it won't.

That's right Mickey, take the party even further to the right. Buddy-up with the ideologs and the religious extremists! That will most certainly ensure Rove's hopes for a permanent majority. Only problem for you Sparky, that permanent majority will be the Democrats!!!

Why would anyone take his political advice? How far did he get in a national election?

And, no, a show of Faux news is not a national mandate.

Thank you, Gov. Chuckleberry, thank you!! For a fleeting moment, I feared that the GOP would attempt to "right" itself by moving to a centrist position and once again become a viable political force all across America. Now I know that the GOP intends to "right" itself by REALLY going overboard to the right, marginalizing itself even moreso and focusing its appeal entirely toward the uneducated redneck dregs of society. Hallelujah Jesus!!

You are absolutely right mike. The GOP's problem is that they were not right enough. Please continue to believe this and move the party more into the right.

So Huck thinks Georgia is a microcosm of the United States as a whole.

Let's test that strategy in 2012, shall we?

Isn't it the "middle" which swings the country? Go ahead, Republicans, move away from the middle some more.

Wow! Is it possible that more than 35% of the country believes this? The all-white republican party is operating somewhere between delusion and denial. Could it get any better than this?

Wow. Prove me wrong and tell me that all Republicans don't really believe that the Earth is only 6,000 years old.

Un-freaking-believable.

Hmmm. I thought that John McCain tried exactly the tactic of moving to the far right when he and Sarah Palin were campaigning and stirring up divisiveness, hate, fear, and bigotry. Of course, we all know how that turned out. But, if the GOP wants to listen to the biggest loser of the year,Huckabee and Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, David Duke, and others as they all continue in their warped views of the world, then---by all means ---let them.
