Arianna Huffington Voted Media Person Of The Year

Arianna Huffington beat out contenders like Tina Fey, Rupert Murdoch and the Laid-Off Journalist to win I Want Media's Person of the Year 2008.

The readers of I Want Media nominated 10 candidates and cast thousands of votes in the week-long Internet-based contest. The winner last year was "Hollywood's striking writers," who followed Comedy Central satirical newsman Stephen Colbert in 2006.

Huffington had a big year in 2008, guiding her liberal-leaning news and blog site to record traffic during the U.S. election season.

BUT,,, Huffington Post offers all points of view a time to voice their opinion. How can they claim Huff-Po to be anything but an OPEN forum? If I only saw the Right or the Left posting here, I would quickly seek out a New Website to visit.

How boring would that be?

What I love about Huffington Post is the ability to respond to other commenters creating a discussion. The blogs are interesting, but I learn the most from other commenters.

People think that Huff-Po will loose popularity, over time. I disagree. I come here to hear what others have to say,, agree or disagree,,, I still learn from their points of view. I have tried the Fox News Website and others, but always find my way back to Huff-Po.

There are as many Postings examining the Obama,,, Transition Team choices as on other More,,,,, Right-Wing,,,, Websites, it is just that they don’t start out on the attack or brutal in their speculations here. The discussions however, are just as diverse and stimulating at Huff-Po, as anywhere else.

Just not as vicious.
