Alba

Leaked photos which have been posted on various internet blogs show an original shot of Jessica posing for Campari, in an image which was later airbrushed.

The newlywed is seen posing in a white strapless short suit with a black belt on the limited edition calender, snapped by celebrity-photographer Mario Testino.

However in the picture which is not airbrushed, Jessica looks softer and more natural.

In the before picture, Jessica reveals a stunning hourglass figure with a few more curves around the hips and waist.

I don't understand why "fashion", whoever these weird creatures pretend to be, seems to be infatuated with skeleton thin women. It's not beautiful. It's very ugly. But, because they get to wear all... more >>

Whatever's happening on the left, it is definitely NOT Alba's natural body on the right. I've seen tabloid photos of her pre-and post-bodies clad in bikinis. She, like so many thin women with boobs, lacks any definition to her waist (i.e. she is shaped like a ruler and not an hour-glass). Her hour-glass shape on the right is total air-brushing, or more accurately photo-shopping. The shot on the left- whether it is entirely authentic or not- better reflects her natural shape.

how intimately familiar are you with her body that you can make any claim about her shape?

The hairstyles in the two photos are different, and the woman in the "original" photo has a different bone structure. That being said, I realize one can Photo Shop a picture to look like just about anything. The question in this case, though, would be why? The woman's face in the "original" photo is far more attractive, and the face in the "touched up" version looks much older and harsher, which is not a result I would think would be desired. Of course, the backgrounds are different in the two photos, as is the coloring and shadowing (the "touched up" version has a much higher color saturation and deeper shadowing). The only "improvement" to the model in the "touched up" version is her more hour-glass shaped waist; however, her bust line also appears to be greatly reduced, again, not a result which I think would be desired. Most people realize that photos in ads are retouched, but if this is what happened in this case, I would say that aside from the more dramatic background and coloring and the curvier waist, the touch up has created a less appealing end result.

She must fly a lot; I see she carries her flotation devices with her everywhere. Those are going to be real uncomfortable in a decade or two, but then I guess she'll have them removed the same way they were inserted.

For those of you insisting these are two different photos, or who swear it's not Alba on the left, see the following article in The New Yorker. "Airbrushing" is a pretty outdated way to describe what can be done with photos nowadays. It's very likely that these are, indeed, two versions of the same picture.

To Whomever Posted This Item: Epic FAIL.
The model on the left is NOT, repeat NOT Jessica Alba.
Same goes for all those who saw fit to comment on the "meaning" of the alleged air-brushing.
Jeez some people are stupid.

Then might i say that the gal on the left is either a natural or had a much better surgeon than Jessica Alba did.

The Fail is that you still think it's just a guy with an airbrush.

The curious thing is that in the original her cleavage looks natural. In the airbrushed one, they look fake, as though they are stapled to her ribcage and have no gradation back to the rest of her body. Funny how we've become such a plastic- country that need to make natural beauty look like it was sculpted by a surgeon. sic.

There was a time (pre-Photoshop) when the only photos extensively airbrushed were for advertising or Playboy centerfolds. Airbrushing, by professional retouchers, was very expensive, and involved first making a really expensive large dye-transfer print. For these reasons, only ad agencies and Playboy had budgets to justify it. Since Photoshop has been on the scene (1980s), almost every image, no matter the purpose is digitally-"perfected" in Photoship. Unfortunately, now it is the photographer who is expected to provide this service, usually for free, in addition to working for lower rates.

This is why photos are now called "images", in the business, as they can no longer be considered "photographs", a term which implies actual reality.

umm... doesn't she look more like Jessica Alba in the airbrushed one, the original looks nothing like the photos of her i've ever seen. plus i think the airbrushed photo is a lot hotter.

The only thing that makes the photoshop picture better is that tan they gave her, other than that, the original is better.
