Talking Points Memo:

Former Obama adviser Steve Hildebrand, who touched off an explosion with his HuffPo piece arguing that "the left" should hold its fire and let Obama do his thing, says he doesn't regret a word of the piece, though he did make a key concession to critics.

"I don't regret any of it," Hildebrand told me when I asked him a few minutes ago by phone whether he regretted the tone of his piece, which many found condescending and finger-wagging.

"My intent was exactly what I wrote," Hildebrand said, adding that the criticism had "surprised" him.

The criticism comes from self-proclaimed "progressives'.
The permanent members of the circular firing squad.
Always ready to complain, whine and cry disappointment.
If you have spent any time reading this site, you already know that some so-called progressives are people who do nothing, but complain about everything.
Obama is doing a great job so far.
"Change" meant a change from the past 8 years of incompetence, cronyism and lies. It never meant a change from all of our past history.
If you didn't know that, you should have.
Grow up!

I frequently wonder how much we can expect from those supposedly on 'our side'?

Did you see the example he gave of Hillary of being a very liberal appointment? Does that not concern you, especially the fact that all the Republicans all of a sudden love her?

to question one's leaders has always been considered 'patriotic'. you sound so angry that some dems question barack's choices and decisions. people define change differently, and you are no exception. the 'change' was NOT just about the last eight years, but, rather ,decades of the "POLITICS OF THE PAST". those of you acting all high and mighty because you want to defend barack on 'everything' , are as much a danger to barack's success as republicans.

1. Obama is not the leader yet.
2. As Obama said, the change is HIM. It is HIS vision and HIS agenda, in which the change will be manifested and effectuated by the people he has appointed to his cabinet. I do not agree with his every choice, and I've expressed my concerns about the choices I disagree with ... and then I move on. But to continue to bash him, day after day for every appointment he makes or every decision he expresses or every word he utters that does not conform to our personal preferences, is ridiculous. In fact, this IS the politics of the past that Obama is trying to put behind us. We're the ones who just won't let go!

No, as long as their is anything that can be used to marignilaze Obama voters, it will be tried here.

Suprised Hildaband was dumb enough to fall for it, had his concessions made it in, this site never would have ran it.

Try and find me ONE article that has helped OBama here since Nov 5, I never saw an article about the planned Obama volunteer meets.

Rachel Maddow covered it on friday? So MSM is more progressive?

Arrianna is losing my respect. More clicks - more ad dollars. I am beginning to think that HuffPo's new agenda is advancing the right wing's "divide and conquer" post election strategy.

I choose not to oblige.
