With the dark cloud of recession looming, what better investment is there than to have a favourite piece remade? Apsley Tailors in Pall Mall has certainly noticed a demand for what they describe as 'homage tailoring'. It's not cheap - bespoke jackets and skirts start from £400 and wool coats from £680. But the end result is made to measure, beautifully finished and in a design which has already stood the test of time.
