U.S. military interrogators have often blasted music at detainees in Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay. According to the British law group Reprieve, these are among the songs they have used most frequently:

_"Enter Sandman," Metallica.

_"Bodies," Drowning Pool.

_"Shoot to Thrill," AC/DC.

_"Hell's Bells," AC/DC.

_"I Love You," from the "Barney and Friends" children's TV show.

_"Born in the USA," Bruce Springsteen.

_"Babylon," David Gray.

_"White America," Eminem.

_"Sesame Street," theme song from the children's TV show.

Other bands and artists whose music has been frequently played at U.S. detention sites: Aerosmith, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Don McLean, Lil' Kim, Limp Bizkit, Meat Loaf, Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Tupac Shakur.

Where are these artists agents? Are the artists getting royalties everytime one of them cracks? I hope the songs weren't downloaded illegally from the internet? They could have just made them watch American Idol instead.

How about some John Coltrane, "A Love Supreme"?

Not necessarily for them, but I think I'll throw it in while I rant on the web.

Then I'll head onto a favorite little site and listen to some UNDERGROUND live recordings from The Detroit Art Space, it's worth checking out. You can listen to it like a web radio without downloading or paying for the excellent music.
