The mood presents opportunities as well as perils for Mr. Obama, who confronts a series of challenges amid expectations he will handle them well.

Many have said it before and I will say it again. If the way Obama ran his campaign wasn't an indication of how he plans to run the country then I don't know what is. The man handles himself in a steady and firm manner. We all need to get behind him and I think this is slowly but surely happening.

This is why it will be a BIG MISTAKE for Rethugs to go down this witch hunting road. Patrick Fitzgerald a republican appointee says there is no evidence of illegal wrong doing on the part of the President elect and this morning on Morning JOe you could see Pat Buchanan and Joe salivating at the thought that Obama is guilty of something. What did he know and when did he know it. We are not saying that he did anything wrong but this looks suspicious. THEN youre saying he did something wrong. The country is in a mess the American people will not have patience for this kind of nonsense particularly when Bush the President who is the most CORRUPT ever and got away with it is not even out the door yet.

Rethugs need to work on repairing THEIR IMAGE not damaging the image of an incoming PResident with lies and innuendoes.

Ok, Carol, that's it. I'm a fan for life. Every one of your posts makes perfect sense. I turned Morning Joe off this morning. That show has gone down the drain. Yes, you can see Joe and Pat foaming at the mouth hoping they can catch Obama doing something wrong. They want Obama to be a fraud; they are hoping he is. You know what bugged me too they are dragging up the fact that in the past Obama endorse this guy. The nerve of republican as if they never endorsed a corrupt politician of their own party who was under investigation. "Morning Joe" has always been down the drain. I watch because they are a good means of tracking the lies and memes put out by the GOP. That, and it's been fun watching Scarborough's head explode every time he is proven wrong. For instance, this morning, a list of the "Most Corrupt States" was put up, negating his claim that Illinois is the most corrupt of all. Can't remember the source, of the list but it had Illinois at #6 behind four Southern states and Ohio. Scar just sat there with his arms crossed and that scowl on his face that appears whenever he doesn't get his way. He kept whining, "They're wrong! They're wrong!" He's worse than a two-year-old who didn't get that cookie he wanted.

I heard a Mid-West Republican call C-Span this morning and express how disgusted he was with the GOP "trying to kneecap Obama" over this crazy governor. The wing-nut Southerns, now leading the GOP should tread lightly because they are gong to lose this fight, as they are going to lose there war against American labor. Christopher Hayes political editor of the Nation magazine put it better than I could. "David Vitter is a joke and Richard Shelby wants to spread the pain as much as possible to further undermined capitalism".
