Blago is the lowest of the low and I cannot believe I voted for the man. All I can say in my own defense is that the Republican, Judy Baar-Topinka, didn't look like the smartest lightbulb on the string, but that was before we met Sarah Palin. In retrospect, Judy never would have tried to pull off something this brazen. Thanks to Jon for putting all in perspective. We in Illinois are laughing, but it has rather sent a gale of cold air over the warm fuzzies we had when Obama was elected.
I think you give Judy too much credit. She was very good friends with Ryan, Edgar, and Thompson. And, at the very least, she looked the other way while they took money from the cookie jar.
