Burglar Ghost

A burglar who broke into a house claims he was held captive by a "supernatural figure" for three days without food and water, officials said.

Police official Abdul Marlik Hakim Johar told The Star newspaper the house's owners found the 36-year-old man fatigued and dehydrated when they returned from vacation Thursday.

He says they called an ambulance to take him to a hospital.

The man told police that every time he tried to escape, a "supernatural figure" shoved him to the ground.

Abdul Marlik could not immediately be reached and other police officials declined to comment.

Seems to me that Darwin pretty well predicted what's likely to happen to these type offenders. If a ghost holds you captive for 3 days, welcome to the ranks of the unfit. Prepare for genetic oblivion, Couldn't happen to a more deserving guy.

I. Evolution is far more complicated then that.

1) He could have already had kids.
2) The gene that caused this behavior could be latent in many people, not manifesting in every generation, but popping in and out every once in a while.

II. You are assuming that genetics is responsible for this behavior. It may or may not be a factor. Therefore, "genetic cleansing" may or may not help pervent crime.

III. What does Darwin have to do with this story?

If you come home and find someone who has broken into your house, what are you allowed to do to that person? Seems that sending him to the hospital just allows him to continue his b&e crime spree. Isn't there some way for a homeowner to end criminal behavior once and for all time?

The sad thing is, the burglar could probably try and sue the homeowner over this nonsensical excuse for getting caught.

The "Casper Defense" anyone?

The photo with this story is probably not of the alleged ghost that kept the burglar from leaving.

Rev. Ralph Hardy, a retired clergyman from White Rock, British Columbia, took this now-famous photograph in 1966. He intended merely to photograph the elegant spiral staircase (known as the "Tulip Staircase") in the Queen's House section of the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, England. Upon development, however, the photo revealed a shrouded figure climbing the stairs, seeming to hold the railing with both hands.

You can google "Tulip Staircase Ghost" and all kinds of links will pop up. The one I used is http://travel.webshots.com/photo/2184860520103035698YBbvmY

So is it your theory that the burglar starved himself and stole nothing to get the sympathy of the owner. Man your reasoning is that of a real NU T.

This is shoddy reporting, why didn't the reporter ask the family if they had experienced any ghost in the home. That my friend is the real story here.
