Greek students announced fresh rallies Sunday after a night of violence during which hooded militants firebombed an Athens police station in fresh protests over the police shooting of a teenager.

About a hundred protestors attacked the police station Saturday night, next to the Exarchia district where 15-year-old Alexis Grigoropoulos died from a police bullet eight days ago.

Greeks certainly are a passionate group. Last time I was there someone set off a bomb in the lobby of the Intercontinental in Athens to protest U.S. involvement in Kosovo.

Had giant banners with Clinton with a Hitler mustache everywhere.

Given the high tensions over that action back then I was pleasantly surprised to have only one guy holler at me for being American.

There is so much corruption in the greek government. Not as much corruption as in the US, but enough for the greek to start a revolution with student uprising and general strikes.
I wish them luck.

Greek youths have the right to protest.
They don't have the right to firebomb businesses and police stations.
The officer in question is being held until trial.
That's how democracy works: When someone does something bad, a trial is held to determine if he is innocent or guilty.
It doesn't make sense to firebomb a small business because a policeman shot a teenager that was throwing molotov cocktails.

I would love to live in the kind of world you're describing, however, the reality is that people who are the worst among us; who have any kind of power get away with murder, and good men die like dogs. More power to the Greek anarchists I say. A Las Barricadas!

They don't need to give our Americans students any ideals on bombing.
