Late-Night's Shoe-Throwing Joke Bonanza (VIDEO)

The late-night shows not in repeats had a field day Monday night with the Bush shoe-throwing incident. Below is a video of some of the best from Conan, Leno, Letterman and Ferguson.

A few of jokes:

Letterman: I don't think President Bush has dodged anything like that since, well, the Vietnam War.

Leno: Looks like we finally found something President Bush is good at - dodgeball!

Ferguson: The shoe-throwing incident has made Sarah Palin want to be president even more. Free shoes! You betcha!

Conan: He's being hailed as a hero in Iraq... when he dies he'll be greeted in heaven by 172 podiatrists.

Isn't it funny how we Americans can find the joke in the Iraq war, but we've never found the courage to get Mr. Bush out of harms way via impeachment. Look at the danger we force this man, our President, to face, leaving him in office as we have. He certainly has earned a nice safe cell somewhere under maximum secure circumstances. But we Americans love our jokes too much to ever take seriously what the rest of the world has yet to find a laughing matter. If the shoot fits, throw it.

My initial reaction to this story- envy. At least this guy got to express himself. Americans can't even have a peaceful demonstration anywhere withing sight of the pres much less the media. Free speech "zones" and all that..
