Blagojevich Quotes Elvis, Says He'll Talk 'Soon' (VIDEO)

Gov. Rod Blagojevich said Wednesday that he "can't wait" to tell his side of the story and expects to do so no later than Thursday.

"I can't wait to begin to tell my side of the story and to address you guys and, most importantly, the people of Illinois. That's who I'm dying to talk to," he said as he left his home Wednesday morning for a jog.

"There's a time and place for everything. That day will soon be here and you might know more about that today, maybe no later than tomorrow."

Asked about when he will talk about the case, Blagojevich, an Elvis acolyte, made his first public King reference since his arrest on federal corruption charges:

"To quote Elvis, 'hang loose.' Now can I get a run in, do you think?"

MSNBC is carrying Blago's atty's press conference. Genson is asking the State of Illinois to pay his legal fees because it is the Attorney General's job to defend the Governor except that in this case the AG is accusing the Gov and can't defend him.

I'm not at all surprised that the St.Supreme Ct. of IL. refused to hear or rule on the AG's petition against Blago ! She is supposed to be an experienced lawyer ... why or why would she even suppose that any court would be favorable to declaring this man unfit when he has not yet been found guilty of anything ! Didn't she even suspect the presumption of innocence would be preserved !??

Being convicted has nothing to do with being removed for incapacity.

She tried using the incapacity clause of the Gubernatorial Powers section of the Constitution.

Had Blago been in a coma, that clause would have allowed the Supreme Court to remove him for incapacity.

The AG's attempt was to use those court powers to remove.

I know what she "used" in her attempt ! I'm no fan of Blango's nor am I the factfinder, however, it seems to me that her use of that incapacity clause was frivolous at best ... the man went to work the next day ... where is the physical incapacity !?? Didn't she realize that !?? Had she some expert as exhibit A stating that the man was physically or mentally disabled ? Not very smart to be an AG ... IMO !!!
